Rule #1 at Physio school is "always look after your hands." I remember Chris being asked by a tutor once if he could wear gloves while rock climbing. 🤦 Perhaps she would be pleased to know that 27 years later, I still remember the rules, and have just spent the last hour painfully removing superglue from my fingers. What is the Rule #1 for your job?
I love the screensavers that pop up on my desktop as it wakes up in the morning. But I also wonder what everyone else's day looks like... How about you all post a picture below of what your desk or desktop looks like? ⬇⬇
A shameless use of one's child. I think it's a small recompense for all the hours of parenting he's had out of us...
Anatomy lesson for the day! Who can name any of these muscles?
That Monday feeling... when you've just remembered that the spare kettle at work was full of scale and you've just reached the bottom of your coffee cup....
But hey, it's a sunny day and some extra calcium in my diet can't be all bad... only a physio would think that!!
Happy Monday, and may all your coffee be smooth until the very end! :-)
When you pop into work after the school run to send an email, turn around and find this.. #startthemyoung #keepingitinthefamily #brookesphysiotherapy
2019 is upon us! Happy New Year to everyone 🥂 Today is all about tidying the house, a walk in our wellies and setting some goals for the year ahead. What's everyone else up to today?
It's finally here! Chris and I would like to wish everyone a warm and peaceful Christmas season, and a healthy and prosperous new year!
Oh my days! Someone took a photo of Chris and he wasn't pulling a face!
This made me chuckle!
On a damp and gloomy evening, this has brightened up my day! I'm always happy to help 😀
"So lucky that one of my very good friends is a physio with magic hands! Thanks for pummelling me last night Jo Brookes, I have a lot more movement in my neck today and I am not so stiff. I still slept rubbish but I’m not on the verge of a breakdown like yesterday! 😬😂"
Being a bit of a numpty, I thought i'd posted this yesterday, which was in fact National arthritis day. Here we are (possibly again), though 13 minutes late! Have a lovely weekend! Jo 😊
Beware when a physiotherapist mentions the word rehab!!!
Just to be very clear, this is not what I mean when I recommend yoga. I hope this brightens your day! 😊
As the summer holidays draw to a close, how about a bit of fun to see what we've all been up to? Let's see if we can do an A to Z of what we've done over the last 6 weeks. I'm stuck on A: who can help me?
I love this clip! Our youngest boys do a daily mile at school and l💙ve it! Who else's children do so?
I'm especially excited to see that some businesses are adopting it too. Does your employer advocate the Daily Mile? I think I need to discuss it with the Brookes Physiotherapy boss!! 😁
My very helpful online calendar has just reliably informed me that today is National Simplicity Day... if only!
If you could change one thing to make your life more simple what would it be?
Me - I would get up promptly when my alarm goes off instead of snoozing.. that would definitely give me more time and simplify my mornings!... Jo x

A thought for when it eventually stops raining....
On this rather dark and dreary evening, here's something for us all to look forward to! https://www.facebook.com/profile.php…
