Hi, I'm Catherine and I am a fully qualified Personal Trainer with an additional specialisation in ante /post natal exercise programming. I am also a Mum to 1 year old twins and know first-hand how hard exercise can be in the pre and post natal period but also how important it is for both Mum and baby.

I have a BSc and MSc in Sport Science together with a Higher Diploma in Health and Wellbeing and am currently writing up my PhD. I have previously worked as a Sport Scientist for Lucozade Sport and a Senior Physiologist for Nuffield Health. This work combined with my own experiences as a Mum provide me not only with a more holistic view of fitness, health, and wellbeing but also a knowing, caring, empathic approach.

In my experience, a lot of Mum's-to-be are unsure of what exercises are safe and appropriate to do as their pregnancy progresses. I was able to continue training and being active throughout my own pregnancy by altering my training accordingly and I am able to help you with this too.

Once the boys were here, I was very surprised by how little activity and exercise was spoken about. I felt it was up to me to motivate myself to search for exercise sessions that were safe, appropriate, tailored, and individual to me and I found it hard to do. There are many reasons why someone in the post natal period finds it hard to exercise such as tiredness, lack of time, and lack of childcare options. Again I can help you overcome these barriers by coming to you in your own home to plan safe and tailored exercise programmes that will help you achieve the results you want.

Based in Burgess Hill, I work in and around the Mid Sussex area. We can hold a session whenever and wherever is easiest for you. I offer sessions at different times and days throughout the week and I can come to your house, meet you outside somewhere or invite you to one of the premises I work from, so we can find a place and time to suit you.

I am a specialist in pre and post natal exercise programming, but as a Level 3 Personal Trainer I am also able to work with Mum's of any age plus your friends, family members, or partners. I am able to provide 1: 1 personal training sessions or group fitness sessions for anyone. Whether you are looking to get active, refresh your training, or alter your training for any reason we can work together to achieve your goals.

Please don't forget there are no Saturday classes for the next two weekends as I'm on holiday. If you can get time try and do some of our exercises at home, or get outside and enjoy the sunny weather!
