Dreamy, pinky-white Valeriana officianalis almost seems to float its way through the garden in June.
The root is said to help cure insomnia and flatulence, but whether or not simultaneously we are not quite clear!
It’s a prolific self-seeder too, with a distinctive musky vanilla scent and is loved by bees and pollinating insects, especially the hoverfly.
