For anyone who has passed their `D` Test and now working through the Silver Rider Efficiency Tests.

What a wonderful place. I have never rode a horse before and my hubby bought me a red letter experience, and what an experience.....the staff were welcoming; the location was idyllic and Sparky was a dream to ride on! I had no idea what to expect but I so want to do it again now! I've fallen in love with a horse! Thank you so much for allowing me to have this experience at your school. KISS for Sparky!

Went on the 2 he western trail ride yesterday, a lovely experience in amazing surroundings. Sarah and Emma (our escorts) were great, allowed for own experience and were great fun! Shenoa was a lovely mare to ride and allowed me to have fun!! Thanks wil be back if ever this way again!!

Went for the 2 hour western trail on Sunday for my birthday with my family and it was brilliant, every second of it! The staff were very reassuring, helpful and made every second fun. The horses were lovely and very well behaved. The trail was brilliant, through all the wild horses and cattle, going through streams, forests, on roads and fields. We walked for most of the time which was independent, following each other and taking in all of the new forest views but also got to trot which added to the excitement. Overall brilliant experience and would book again in a heartbeat, would strongly recommend to anyone and everyone, even those in doubt or fear as the staff were very supportive and horses brilliant.

Visited yesterday as part of our Honeymoon and have to say we were impressed with the professional friendly welcoming staff. Did the 2hr Western trail as complete novices and in no time were taught enough basics to feel totally confident from start to finish. Than you! Would highly recommend.

Our first ever riding experience was brilliant. I Would highly recommend burley villa to everyone. We will for sure be back. An enjoyable 2 hour trek through the new forest on amazing horses and an excellent instructor in Ellie who showed us the basics and looked after us whilst we were out. Cannot recommend this place enough.

My son booked all day western ride for me for Xmas.

Had an amazing day xx Horses were amazing and everyone was very welcoming and friendly xx have never ridden western before and now I loved it so much it's all I want to do . Food was gorgeous lots of tea and coffee and our instructor for our lesson before our hack was excellent and had a good sense of humour x I learnt a lot ,I ate alot and I laughed a lot xx would highly recommend x

My daughter had a brush and ride gift as it was her first time horse riding. She absolutely enjoyed it so much. The horses were gentle and sweet and she loved brushing and meeting her horse as much as riding. The staff were very professional and kept it interesting for the children and gave them lots if fun horse facts along the way. I would definitely recommend this as a gift for a young girl.

My daughter bought me a Red Letter Experience day for Western Riding. A great start with a cup of tea and a bacon roll, followed by a grooming session and a lesson in tacking up. A quick break followed by a lesson in the indoor school. It's not as easy as it looks (!!) but thanks to some excellent teaching, we eventually got the hang of it. A fantastic BBQ lunch followed by a 2 hour trail ride through the forest. The staff were all very knowledgeable and friendly. The horses were amazingly tolerant and clearly knew their jobs. Thanks all for a really great day out!!

My 4 year old had her first proper riding lesson today. She loved it! The staff were really helpful when I phoned to book. Katy her instructor was brilliant and the horse she rode, Maisie, was amazing. We've done a few 'walk outs' before at other riding stables but Burley Villa is top of our list. We will definitely be going back.

I was bought a hack with my daughter fur my 40th birthday, We finally got round to doing it today. The staff were so friendly and tried to put me at ease as I was more than a little nervous. Phil made us both laugh on our arrival and Charlie, who took us on our hack,was just amazing. She put our minds at rest and helped our nerves. We had a great time thank you and now in home I'm actually considering booking another. Thanks again lovely people xx

I very much enjoyed my private hack in the New Forest a week ago. I had such a wonderful time with Casey & Charlie (?); it was beautiful, Casey was a great, responsive horse; Charlie a lovely young woman who ensured a good balance between looking out for my safety and my enjoyment, and it was even sunny!



We started with a brief "get acquainted" session in the arena, and then walked along the road to a gate into the forest. Then walking, trotting, and cantering along various trails through the woods. Such fun, in such a beautiful place! I hope to return someday (am now back in California). My thanks to all the helpful and friendly folk I met at Burley Villa.

I came yesterday 8,7,2017 I had an excited time. we had katie and Charile helping us which they did a amazing job thankyou ladies. I had shenoah beautiful horse 🐴 I enjoy every minute of it. I will be back again soon. If u like to try horse riding this is the place to come everyone is so helpful and kind xxx thanks again for a great afternoon Alison Teal xx

Had an absolutely fantastic western adventure day today! The yard was immaculate, staff were all super friendly and helpful, food was really yummy and so appreciated after the riding. The horses were all wonderful and looked after us all so well. My husband has never ridden before and he loved it. Highly recommend it to everybody :)

Had a great day Well looked after with bacon and egg bap for breakfast and a great barbecue for lunch. Learnt a lot about western riding ( didn't realise how hard it would be ) 😂 The staff were amazing, very friendly, helpful and informative. We were given a lesson in the school first to learn the basics and then were taken for a ride into the new forest with Katie and Ellie for 2 hours. The horses are very well behaved. All in all it's been a great experience and would highly recommend it. Thanks guys 👍

Would highly recommend this experience xx

Good hack out yesterday on Zorro with Charlie who led us very well and ensured that we had an enjoyable and safe ride. The best way to see the Forest is on horseback and we saw a lot! Plenty of cattle with new calves and of course the ponies everywhere. Best bit for me was riding along the stream and negotiating some logs on the way, Zorro did well! Thanks again Charlie!

Fantastic! We had two western rides (one yesterday afternoon & one this morning) on Shenoa (sp?) & Lily. Taken out in small groups (5 yesterday, 4 today) with Charliy & Katy looking after us yesterday & Katy & Ellie today

I haven't ridden for 30+ years, my husband has never ridden a horse but we loved every minute, even managing a jog today

We stayed overnight at Bashley House in the Beech room and were well looked after by Becky who brought an amazing continental breakfast to our room this morning

We will be back!

Excellent! Although I've never been on a horse in my life, I felt completely safe. The ride was amazing, through the New Forest, wonderful scenery. The young lady who led us was fabulous, very friendly and knowledgable. I ached like anything by the time we got back, but wouldn't have missed it for the world! Thank you.

Best day had in long time. The horses� �were very gentel and lucky they knew where they were going. The welcome was great. The ladies who took us out were great fun and the food. The flame grill steak , corn on the cob , beans and baked spud was yummy. Best day if you what great time book a day.�
