What another great ELF night (Friday 25th November)!! Steve and Zena are wonderful hosts. Great food and a lovely friendly atmosphere. Definitely one to recommend. And they do a lovely English breakfast too!!

Went with friends for breakfast. It was my first visit and definitely won't be my last.

Cosy little tea rooms with log burner, friendly staff and really lovely food.

Love it

We popped in for breakfast when we went away for a few days after getting married lovely little place great good and staff couldn't be more helpful!

WONDERFUL EXAMPLE of how tea rooms should be run, I MEDICALLY cannot drink caffeine and when I looked there was a huge selection of Twinings tea ( something you don't get at most hotels) so I was able to have a peppermint cream tea. It's quiet and quaint, with extremely helpful staff willing to accommodate anything, Well done everyone there.

I have been several times with my Dad and my daughter and baby grandson. The food is lovely and the staff are helpful. Perfect if you like a quaint English style tearoom / restaurant. Sunny outdoor area right by the Abbey. Lovely.

I am giving 5 stars as me, hubby, mother in law and nan in law went here on bank holiday Monday for afternoon tea and it was amazing.

So tasty and fresh and if we didn't finish we got to take whatever we left home with us. We given unlimited tea which is great for us tea lovers.

We were over impressed by the manager and his manner, he was always at the door to greet his customers and very friendly. Everyone left with smile including us. :-)

Had a few days in Battle and ate our lunch on the day of our arrival, Jacket Potato with coleslaw - wow wonderful meal the coleslaw so creamy and delicious, the next morning was full English with extras for me oh well I was full after and even skipped lunch. our final morning was also a full English ready for our drive home. We also bought a couple of their homemade scones home - oh my word so yummy. I would recommend this place to everyone, food is brilliant and the service we got was outstanding - nothing was too much trouble. We will be back.

Excellent food. Exemplary service. Even gave treats and water to our puppy which was welcomed with us. Superb.

User

Driving through Battle and stopped for a wonder round. Popped into the tea room for afternoon tea. Scones were straight from the oven, amongst the best I've had. Lovely little place, definitely recommend.

Came in today for lunch with the wife (we're on honeymoon), and had the Mrs Burton's Ploughmans. Superb food, excellent and friendly service... Very, very impressed! A good history chinwag too and got a great tip for the Abbey tour (use the audio guide, it's awesome). Popped back in for a coffee on our way out. 11 out of 10!
