We went for a meal to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday and cannot fault the whole experience. From the moment we walked through the door to when we said goodbye at the end of the evening the staff were very attentive. The food was delicious including the gluten free. We'll definitely be back!

User

We couldnt wait for it to open. We had all watched it change from a Newsagents and Indian Restaurant whilst working acrosscthe road from it. An amazing transformation. Tasty food. Attentive staff. Food comes hot and together with your fellow diners. Twice weve eaten there within a month. Due to go again very soon. Carry on the great work. Sea bream was very tasty and so was the frozen berries with hot white choclate.

User

This is my go to place if ever I am going for a meal. Not just Haywards Heath, but wherever I can find one. Excellent staff, high quality food. Already planning to meet in HH again soon.

User

The food was superb, as to be expected. The service was absolutely spot on, and very deserving a of a decent tip. After a poor experience with the service at the Brighton restaurant a few weeks ago, it is nice to have my confidence restored in this nice restaurant chain. Well done everyone, at Cote Haywards Heath.

User

Thank you to the staff at Cote for two wonderful visits recently.

You accommodated a group of us with 8 buggies + babies for brunch on a Wednesday lunchtime. We were in a quiet area where we didn't feel in the way to your other customers. The baby changing facilities are really good too.

As that visit went so well I returned yesterday where I advised, due to my baby, I'm unable to eat diary and eggs. A challenge seeing as we were there for your breakfast menu. Your staff were fantastic and put together a great breakfast.

Delicious food and such lovely service! Good work Cote... we'll definitely be back!

User

Nicest staff ever who not only brought a bowl of water for my dog but made our coffees extra affordable to boot! Really made our day. Thanks!

User

My friend and I went for breakfast here this morning. We have been here a few times now and the service is always amazing! This morning our food was not to standard for whatever reason but the service recovery was incredibly good. Thank you guys! Can't wait to come back again!

User

If the customer service remains as attentive, this will become a regular haunt!

The soup wasn't very hot, but they offered to change it and then deducted it from the bill. Lovely place, good food, great atmosphere and excellent service. Thank you.

User

I love Cote! The food is always excellent but the staff are even better!! We recently had our work Christmas meal there and it was faultless service. A massive thank you to all the team there.

User

I had a lovely meal yesterday. (As always) The food was fantastic, they have loads of gluten free options. I love this place, the staff are great too, very friendly.

User

First time my friend and I had been to Cote. The staff were very attentive although the restaurant was very busy. We were seated and served promptly. I was very impressed that the person I booked the table with had taken the trouble to book me in as vegetarian and gluten free. A gluten free menu was provided for me. Will definitely be returning as the food was of a very high standard and the service too.

EDIT 29/07/17

I have adjusted the * rating from 2* to 5* having just returned from a repeat visit to test the service again.

The company recognises bad service and does everything they can to rectify.

So on a gloomy wet Saturday night the restaurant was heaving, not a table empty and an amazing atmosphere, staff were very friendly and attentive (as before)

We ordered starters and mains which came out in very good time and were delicious. The service was second to none, 2000% better than our first visit. I'm happy to say I'm sure we will be back in the future. Well done.

ORIGINAL REVIEW

Sat in the restaurant for my wife's 40th Birthday meal, a rare meal out without child and a first visit cote brasserie.

Staff and food very nice but the wait between starters and main of 50 minutes was a little much, on the verge of asking if it had been lost somewhere, but then they appeared and the waitress apologised for the wait and the restaurant wasn't even near capacity.

At one point, one of the chefs came up to serve food, short staffed? I think so.

In addition the couple next to us arrived after us, had their starters after us and mains before us, yet had to send a steak back due to being 'inedible'.

The easiest solution was to not pay the 'optional service charge'

Not the greatest first impression....

User

Cote brassiere has lovely staff and service. Definitely recommend to anyone. And they have a great choice of gluten free food on their menu

User

Very attentive staff without badgering you. The food was very good although the x2 fillet steaks ordered were a bit on the small and dry side. Everything else was delicious and presented well. 4th time we've been and will definitely return.

User

Sumptuous breakfast indeed

User

Couple of issues tonight but management dealt with our concerns very well

Food was great and waiters did a great job on what seemed like an unexpectedly busy evening

Will definitely return

User

I wasn't as impressed as various others I know are. I've been 3 times now and have thought the same thing each time. Nothing wrong with the food, but not that appetising to look at, not enough colour on the plate for me. Staff good, but not outstanding, sorry.

User

Great staff. Very limited choice of veggie food though although the staff did their best to accommodate me. I probably won't return as there was only one main course I could eat-it was yummy though! Wonderful building and decor.

User

Went in for breakfast today. Wasn't even that busy. It took so long for a waiter to ask us for drinks. When we did order drinks we then had to get up and chase them for it. It had been over 30 minutes to be served drinks. Ordered the eggs royale which was supposed to be poached eggs and it was hard boiled with 1 thin smoked salmon. Massive let down, overpriced and service is slow.
