User

Wonderful food. Not overly fussy but beautifully cooked and presented. Very tasty.

What an amazing experience :-) met my Auntie here 15.6.17 for a birthday lunch and catch up, our sever went above and beyond, a complimentary glass of fizz and candle in my pudding, food was beautiful. We then lost track of time and my Auntie had 10 minutes to get her train!!! On a boiling hot day our server dashed up the road to hail a taxi for us and didn't charge for my pudding as we rushed off!

You sir are worth your weight in gold, we cannot thank you enough, don't recall your name but you had a red and white shirt on. You could teach these other branded restaurant a thing or two!! Excellent customer service and nothing was too much trouble

User

Went for a booked pre- theatre meal at 6.30 13.9.17. Service was fast and polite- got a complimentary drink as part of the deal. Starter breaded calamari-main hunters chicken £10.95 blanc de blanc 125ml only -£4.25. We were out by 7.45 partner had a pudding too and half a larger -total meal with12.5% service charge£36.05 bargain and delishious! We will be back!

User

Tried to get in for Valentine's but they were fully booked. Opted to go the following night as the food looked fantastic. We weren't disappointed. Both had soup for starters and hubby had roast sea bass and I opted for the duck breast both of which were delicious. Cheese and chocolate mousse finished the meal off washed down with bottle of pinot grigio. Can't fault the service even though it was busy with pre theatre diners. Would definitely revisit on next trip to Oxford.

User

Really enjoyed it. Very busy and buzzy, great atmosphere. Good menu choices and good value wine.

User

My partner and I have frequented this restaurant over the past 4 years and love the place.

Always a great selection of food which is wonderfully cooked and presented. We have had breakfast, al la carte and the set menus here and recommend all of them!

Good and reasonably priced wine list but the best part for us is the staff. They are super accommodating even at busy periods and always make you feel welcome - Wish I could give 10 stars.

User

Love the place with friendly staff and 5-star French food with affordable price!! Great value for money and nice place to have romantic dinner

User

Enjoyed a delicious meal with great service at good prices. Never rushed in Cote however busy they are, always given time to enjoy your dining experience.

User

Ate here last night for mine and my wife’s Second wedding Anniversary. Didn’t book a table as we wanted to just randomly walk into any restaurant. Picked Cote Brasserie and although it was fully booked the manager found us a table. Food and drink was superb, I had the Duck Confeit and my wife had the Roast Garlic Chicken free Glass of Sparkling wine on arrival. Brilliant service all round by the staff. We will definitely go again.

User

We visited Oxford for the day and decided to eat here the food was very good although I think my steak was medium instead of well done but overall it was good food and we did not wait long even with not pre booking

User

I was with my two daughters at lunch time. We had two course meal from the set menu. Mussels and the pear salad for starters, everybody was very please. The main, risotto and breaded chicken were very tasty, however chicken salad my daughter had, was a bit small and lacked ingredients, special cheese was no present and the chicken was limited. My daughter asked politely if she should be expecting some cheese, the waitress was responsive to hear request and provide an answer that it should be in the salad dressing, but not interested to try fix the problem.

I love Cote Brasserie and my experience was excellent in two London branches. One in Oxford could benefit from better tables and layouts and potential friendlier service.

Voluntary tip of 12.5% already added in the bill is rather annoying and seems to become bad practise for many restaurants.

User

I visited this restaurant for lunch with my cousin 3/11/17....it was her first time and I have been quite a few times...the food was lovely and the waiter was polite and friendly, but the waitress was rude and unfriendly, she never said Thankyou when we left and plonked our starters down in front of us!!!! But I will still return there, hopefully she will have left ???

User

Food is really tasty!

However, I literally chewed glass in the prawn gratinee!

I gave the shards to the manager, Daniel, who was mortified and immediately reported to the chef.

The entire batch was disposed of so hopefully other diners will not have this experience.

Things go wrong , hence the 4*, I’m fine but let’s see the end result from the restaurant.

***** ENTIRE BILL COVERED BY RESTAURANT , WITH SINCERE APOLOGIES ****

User

Set two course menu was an adequate amount for lunch and I left full. Service was friendly and efficient but I do object to service charges, put it in the price of the food or don't do it. Soft drinks quite expensive too.

User

Nice interior but not overly impressed with my meal I am afraid. Monkfish was overcooked and dry and very little sauce to help!.

Creamed spinach lacked a little cream so wasn't what I would have classes as creamed spinach.

Desert which was Tarte Fine Aux Pinned was nice but Vanilla ice cream quite tasteless which was a pity.

Service good and staff pleasant and would try again.

User

First impression, what a lovely looking Restaurant. Then my husband ordered our meal and must say the waiter was lovely and friendly. I had a prawn and garlic starter which was Ok but there was a herb that was so strong I couldn't taste the garlic, just that strong herb. Then...Remember this is a Main meal : I ordered Fish Coujons, chips and peas. I was taken back to see 4 child size Coujons ( to be fair ideal for myself ) however if a man had sat down to eat that ...he certainly wouldn't be a happy man. Then my husband had ordered the Moules Provençal as his main meal and shocked to see a starter portion. Then realised there wasn't a dish to put the shells in or a water and lemon finger bowl to clean after the meal. We eaten at a couple of Cote Restaurant before without a problem but this was our best experience and to be fair we did mention to the waiter.

User

Really slow service. Didn’t ask for any drink refills. Chicken dry ( been sat under hot plate for ages) burger burnt and inedible. Waited about an hour for our mains and for them to come out dry and burnt wasn’t good enough. Won’t be returning, such a shame as the starters were brilliant.

User

Huge shame this is not a review of the food as we didnt get that far ...turned up at 11.45 to a mostly deserted restaurant..to be told there was no possibility for a table for 3 ..as they were fully booked from

12.30..ate elsewhere...passed at 1.15 to a mostly deserted restaurant..Cote Oxford needs to take a leaf out of London and Manchester..Walk Ins are Key... as is flexibility

User

service was poor, gralic and chillie prawns were rubbery and had NO garlic or chillie. parline crepe must have been microwaved and was like rubber and was stuck to the plate . cote de boeuf for 2 was tasty but was just enough for 1and they had the cheek to add £40 tip
