ROAR! A dino themed cake for a one year old who holds a very special place in my heart. Inside is a 5 layer rainbow vanilla sponge.

A 60th birthday cake from last weekend for Anthony. He's a big Leeds United fan so his family chose the yellow and blue theme for his surprise cake.

I've discovered I am genuinely rubbish at remembering to take photos of cakes and posting them on here! Here's one from last month - a chocoholics dream cake! 😍

Happy first wedding anniversary to Jemma and John, a couple very close to my heart after I met them last year thanks to our joint love of Alice in Wonderland. I was privileged to be asked to create their wedding cake(s), and this wonky, dusky pink creation has come to be one of my favourite cakes to date. I've also got to know Jemma personally, as well as professionally by working alongside her and her wonderful business Wildflower Styling, and am lucky enough to call her a friend. Trying something new this week in the Cakey Bakey kitchen, and making samples of Sri Lankan delicacies for a future bride to test for her wedding. Rather than a 'traditional' wedding cake, she is opting to bring aspects of her Sri Lankan heritage to her September wedding - I love a challenge, and enjoy tasting new things along the way!

A photo from last week of the very popular unicorn style cake - rainbow vanilla sponge inside, this was for Hallie's second birthday. I had the honour of making her first birthday cake last year, and was delighted to carry on the tradition!

It's always so lovely to make anyone a cake, but this one was especially lovely as it's for the daughter of an old school friend. Happy 2nd birthday Isla! It's not often I make things just for me, but this is my Easter Mini Eggs cheesecake, with a chocolate cornflake cake base 😍 sadly it's all been demolished now!

A rosette shaped lemon drizzle cake for Pravina as a gift from her colleagues on her last day. Good luck for the future Pravina.

This is my biggest challenge to date. A life size red velvet edible Prosecco tea party. Measuring 36 inches x 16 inches, absolutely everything except the Prosecco bottle and the champagne glasses is edible, and all hand made by myself. The teapot is a lemon sponge cake, the sandwiches are Victoria sponge cake and the cups, plates and cutlery are all made from sugar paste. Even the sugar cubes are made of cake. Happy birthday to a wonderful lady ❤

A Bakewell Tart cake for Gordon's 70th. Gordon is a big fan of archery, and the bow is a copy of the one he owns. Everything on the cake is edible, except for the strings of the bow.

Now let's be honest, if you hear gluten free and dairy free you run a mile and would not try and make something so difficult! Not Sarah, 100% dedicated and more to the point 100% delicious! Couldn't recommend cakey bakey goodness enough!

Just tried my first beautifully decorated cupcake, and I have to say it was the lightest of cupcakes and the frosting was amazing. My daughter has already started nagging for a giant lemon meringue cupcake for her birthday :) x
