as off today we have not been happy with our new agents we were leaving sykes on the 21st of october due to issues on personal insurance we opted for another company which i have highlighted and due lack of commication this has worried us as their lack of bookings and communication have not happened since we signed up with them , so my husband has has contacted our private insurance company and they will provide a personal insurance per booking at a cost to us so any miss fortunes that happen in our home are covered and we will not be at a loss so as of now we are back with www. sykescottages.com not derbyshire cottages, many thank to and keep liking our page and sharing

cambridge lodge

Had a very busy summer, had lots of lovely guests staying at the lodge, actually having a day off,and booked the lodge back to ourselves, popping up later to thank our guests whove stayed there this week.The surrounding fields have been ploughed, hedges cut back(now the birdies have finished nesting)and looking forward to the bbc coming to film (keep you posted)maintance work will resume, so i wont be getting much rest.Our second bedroom at the b&b is coming on and looking be...autiful, were calling it narnia as there is is a connecting door from our living quarters, through a built in wardrobe, also theres a twinkling in the paint work like the beginning of the lion the witch and the wardrobe, then fresh colours like at the end of the film.Many thanks to @sarah derbyshire and the team and the fantastic photos by ihome photography also weve been awarded a plaque for property of the week, iam posting our new photos of the lodge and the 2nd bedroom

The lodge is doing well b&b is slowly booking. Unfortunatley 2 lovely guests have had to cancel in august 19th to 26th.Theres still 2 weeks in september 16th to the 30th and 30th sept to the 7th of oct as you all probabley know we are leaving sykes on the 21st oct and were joining www.derbyshire-cottages.info/ ref number UK4076 Were in the process of developing our second b&b apartment this will sleep 2 and it will be romantic with an original cast iron bed and open plan bathroom with claw foot bath and a purpose built wardrobe courtersy of rob stone joinery (who has done all our fantastic joinery) the wardrobe will have a secret door so were calling this apartment NARNIA keep checking our posts www.cloughviewfarmbandb.co.uk

Regretabley this week ive had to decline a booking please read all the print on the sykes listing for cambridge lodge .We dont take bookings where children are under 10 years old the reason being is that when we developed the lodge we did so making sure all open areas were gated and fenced in ie the roof the raised garden ect Due to an expensive altercation with peak park they said they would only pass the property as a holiday cottage but to get the lodge passed they had th...e authority to install certain rulings several being that all safety aspects were to be taken down and removed this we had to do meaning that we had to specify that we dont allow children under 10 because of this we cannot allow children under ten as there is so many elements on the property that are enticing not only to adults but children and we dont want any accidents to happen if we can fore see them first please read the small print when booking through sykes as we really dont want to disappoint any one booking a holiday at the lodge .Many thanks jim and lisa

The lodge is doing well and the b&b is slowly getting bookings, we now have a website for the b&b so please like and share www.cloughviewfarmbandb.co.uk .Another major change is, we will be leaving sykes and our contract is up 21st oct this year.Due to issues last year and expense at our cost due to damages we have thought long and hard and have taken advice off fellow holiday rental people and have decided to go with www.derbyshire-cottages.info/ (reference number UK4076 ) We will continue to present the lodge as we normally do but we feel we will have a lot more back up when any unforseen damages occur, meaning we can spend money on the up keep and modernization of our beloved lodge benefiting all new and returning guest.We are happy with our new agents and we hope you will be too xxxxxx

The lodge is looking colourful and yesterday was a beautiful day up there.The sun was shining and it was lovely to welcome back The Woods a lovely couple who are returning again in the summer.The new cooker has been interesting as its gas and off continental design so you don't see a flame as you would in a range cooker which is situated at the back of the oven,luckily our guests last week The Brooks (many thanks to you all) maggies brother is a corgi registered gas fitter and he found no issues at all so that was good.Our website is up and running for the b&b please like and share www.cloughviewfarmbandb.co.uk email address cloughviewfarmbedandbreakfast@gmail. com please keep liking and shareing
