Fantastic NODA report received today for our recent production of "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" well done to all those involved #camus #theatre #noda
A NIGHT TO REMEMBER
Come along tomorrow night, at 8pm, to find out all about our November Show "A night to Remember" which we are producing in conjunction with the 6th Form college and will be performed in their theatre.
This celebratory concert is going to be a mix of traditional WW1 songs, poetry and dramatic sketches - such as scenes & songs from "Oh what a lovely war" and BlackAdder - and more contemporary songs (Dan has some fab ideas for some "mash ups") and dance.
... There is going to be opportunity for EVERYONE - full chorus, lady chorus, male chorus, solo's duets etc, so (like all our concerts) everyone has a chance to shine and perhaps give something a go that they wouldn't have had the confidence to do in the past.
The 6th Form are creating some amazing work - including 2 students composed music pieces, own written poetry from the English Students and filming children from Talevera Primary School (the army base school) reading WW1 poems. The art and textiles students are creating work that will be displayed as an "exhibition" in the foyer. We are also finalising plans for a military band and possibly the Sea Cadets band.
This is going to be an AMAZING concert - very different to our previous ones - not only to mark the centenary of WW1 but to reach out to lots of different areas/members of the community and therefore raise the profile of CAMUS.
come along tomorrow to meet the production team, sing a few songs and find out more!

This will be my seventh show with the society.
Love it x
It was my first Camus show and I would like to say a huge thank you to all the cast and crew for making it such a wonderful experience! Fabulous show, fabulous group of people! Xx
I've been a member of Camus for 12 years and it is one of the most friendliest, warmest societies I've ever been with. Putting on great shows with great people
I love my Camus family and all the wonderful shows we do together! Such a friendly and supportive bunch
Great musical society and very talented.
Fab company. Great shows.
Come and watch people!
Another excellent production by Camus with lots of lively dancing, singing and humour.
Paul Gibson was ideally cast and put everything into perfecting his performance - even when in group scenes.
The only slight complaint was the 'Brush up Your Shakespeare' gangster finale which was probably twice as long as necessary to get the message completed.
Well done to all who took part and the unseen backstage members.
A great show to watch and also be involved in, I was backstage crew and sat in the audience for the Saturday matinee.
Was A lot of fun and had such a great vibe, was so glad to be apart of it.
Really looking forward to being part of the next show too. Keep up the good work
