Canine Comms - Training & Behavioural Services

A compelation from a few years ago, one of my own dogs that was reactive to everything, joggers and cyclists being his arch enemies. Kind methods do work, harnesses don't teach dogs to pull and 'strong breeds' do not need a firm hand.

Dog training is an unregulated industry and therefore can be a minefield when checking people's qualifications. With home boarding etc now being regulated (hopefully training will follow), it might be an idea to check if the accreditation body of the course completed is ofqual approved/recognised. To do so is quite simple, you can search via the link I will post below to see if they are recognised or not, this may also be helpful for anyone considering their future course providers. A short compelation of ideas for you and your pups when stuck indoors in this miserable weather. Enrichment should be as much about what we do 'with' our dogs, not just what we give to our dogs. Kongs and snuffle mats are great but they can not replace our time and attention.

Out on our walk today we saw a fantastic training opportunity, at first Luna was a little woofie (very technical term 😉), by giving her enough space to relax and observe she was able to happily disengage.

Good compromise regarding fireworks, it's not just animals that suffer!

Big dog day today, what a lovely way to start the day.

A fantastic reactive group walk today, well done guys.

I am away from Friday the 26th October until Wednesday 7th November.

It was a small and cosy group at Reactive Club today so we decided to go off site, everyone did amazing. Tarro leading up the rear is a relative newbie to club (I have been working with him 1-2-1 prior to him joining club), when I first met Tarro he was extremely reactive to everything, bikes, cars, people and especially dogs, he did amazing today, there is still a long road ahead but I was so very proud of him and his amazing owners today.

I love this dog 😍 Today we had a bit of muzzle training and then fun in the paddock, he is a far cry from the anxious vocal boy I first met.

So very pleased for Luna and her mum.

Two sessions with Caroline so far and Bazzle has come on leaps and bounds for the better! His confidence has grown and today he had his first stress-free walk off the lead! Cannot thank her enough already!

This Lady is absolutely Fantastic. My boxer had her first session and i learnt so much. My dogs tail did not stop wagging. Caroline understood my dog she understood way she acts in certain situations and taught me so much already. I cannot wait to see her agaim next week. Its so strange but its almost like my dog knows this is begining of something new. And i will be getting the help to understand her better and our bond to be back on the same level. As i got to a stage i had no idea what to do to help her. Im so glad i chose caroline to help me xxx

Sadly, my young dog and I live about 2hrs away from Caroline, so not close enough for regular training sessions, however, over the last 12months she has been really supportive and helpful in the training of my young man. I have bombarded her with questions on everything from basic obedience until most recently questions about agility exercises. She is always willing to help and is obviously very passionate about her work. Keep up the amazing work.

My dogs absolutely loved the agility,they are now well and truly pooped..i was nervous about going as it was first time but Caroline is very welcoming and easy to talk to,i felt very comfortable and my fur babies loved her.think my Lil princess Lexi may have found her calling,she surprised me how quickly she took to it.Definitely recommend xxx

Me and paige took our cocker spaniel, bruno here yesterday for general training tips, bit of scenting and agility. We loved it but think bruno enjoyed it more. What bruno learnt within a short time from the training and guidance from caroline is unbelievable. There's loads of things to say but deffo recommend 100%. Already looking into booking more sessions in and can't wait

I would HIGHLY recommend Caroline. We have seen huge progress in just 3 sessions with our 2 yr old GSD, who was displaying reactive behaviour towards both people and dogs. Caroline has already helped him relax and grow in confidence with her kind and positive approach.

I talked with Caroline for nearly 2 hours last night, It was fascinating and so informative, Caroline really really cares about the dogs. I can't wait to put her advice into practise

I am working with Caroline with on two of my dogs hopefully 3 soon I can honestly recommend to anyone and I have she is a fantastic person and trainer so in touch with the dogs and the difference in just a few weeks is so amazing �

Highly recommend, Caroline has collected my dog from my home while I've been out, very trust worthy and has cleaned my dog before letting her back in which makes a huge difference as my dog has the run of the house, last thing you want to come home to is muddy house and dog, the little things make all the difference, not to mention the sheer excitement when she sees Caroline, that reaction alone tells me she loved her time Caroline and the boys, my dog is not the easiest ( picky with other bitches) but with Caroline knowledge and experience with dogs I was completely confident:)

Had lots of fun watrching my husband abd our border collie attempting the agility course this afternoon with caroline, she was so paitent with both of them, left with lots of amaizing advice and we can't wait to go back for the next session.

Had a great session with my dog reactive dog this afternoon. We accomplished a relaxed walk side by side with another dog and even got a sensible sniff at the end! This is something I didn't think would happen for at least 6 months! So chuffed with the progress that was made. Can't thank caroline and daisy enough.

First training session with Freddy, and we both loved it Caroline is amazing with Freddy and trains in real life situations. Cant wait to go back thank you

Caroline's experience definitely shines through with my labrador who is often described as a free spirited lunatic. Every session serves as a reminder of how much potential he has and how I can harness that. I would definitely recommend Canine Comms services whether that be for training of unruly dogs or simply enriching your dogs life and challenge their mind with some fun agility. My puppy had a brilliant time at a scent workshop organised by Caroline. Sessions are always a great laugh and happy, more responsive, sleepy dogs afterwards!

Caroline is working with 3 English Mastiffs on my behalf, one of which is exceptionally nervous. The difference I can see after just 2 sessions is nothing short of incredible. I am in awe of her and would recommend her services in a heartbeat.

Caroline is amazing! I can't believe the difference in our nervous cocker puppy milly in just 4 weeks! She's learnt so much and I have too, Thank you so much, and of course the gorgeous and impeccably behaved George and Frodo too!

Cannot recommend Caroline enough. She's absolutely superb. Makes you and your dogs feel at ease straight away. Is very understanding of all problems that can come into training your dogs, time constraints, your own anxiety, neighbours with dogs ect. Doesn't talk to down to you or flood you with information and makes sure that what's being taught is understood so you can go on with training correctly. I will be recommending her to everyone I know and meet. So so pleased with results from only one visit. Definitely coming back for more.

So patient and understanding, we came away with so much knowledge even after just a few classes!

After a traumatic experience with daycare on Friday last week I was recommended to seek advice from an animal behaviourist! I contacted Caroline in the hope she could help, all I can say is wow! She was absolutely fantastic, her two dogs are beautiful gentle giants and considering my dog doesn't normally socialise with big dogs, she did great. I discovered it's all about confidence building for the both of us and that daycare is definitely not an option for my nervous little pup. I would recommend her to anyone, there's no pressure on either the dog or owner and she made us both feel at ease. We both came away more confident and knowing the best way to handle any future situations that may arise. Thank you so much xxx
