Super proud of my sponsored dogs, Samoyeds, Hector and Hugo competing at Holywell in Hampshire. Hugo was 2nd in freight bikejor and Hector 1st in freight scooter. These boys are amazing, they are in fantastic condition and give 100% in what they do, they love this sport! ❤️ Also a big well done to their owners Lisa and Michelle who ensure they are kept in top condition! (And spoil them rotten! 🤪😂)

Blu is almost 12 years old and is doing incredibly well with his mobility. I still like him to work his muscles but in a less impacting way by hunting for his ball instead of throwing it. He loves it! 😊 #fitforfunction #happymuscles #lovemydog #weimaraner #oldiebutgoodie #activedoghappydog #galenmyotherapy #animalphysio #caninephysio #yourdogmoreyears

This is a great article on instability training and whether it really has an effect on the canine athlete. I do use these as a mix of strengthening and balance training for my own dogs and they do have a place in both rehabilitation and general training exercising but it’s good to know they shouldn’t solely be used to build strength in the canine athlete.

Muscle conditioning session yesterday for our dogs and of course everyone has to have a go when there’s food involved! 🙄😂 #hampshire #conditioningtraining #physicaltherapy #caninephysicaltherapy #sportdogs #runningdogs #canicross #traildogs #caninerehab #pugs #dogsofinstagram #happymuscles #yourdogmoreyears

My German Shorthaired Pointer Oliver was diagnosed with a torn subcapsularis tendon. He was significantly lame, and it was recommended we completely rested him for 8 weeks. This came and went and Oliver was still not right.I was desperate to help Oliver he no longer had a good quality of life.I found out about Myotherapy, it sounded amazing and the most important thing for me was that Oliver could be treated in a non clinical environment in the comfort of his bed and it was non invasive. I met Lisa and she explained all about the treatment and what would happen during his therapy session. Oliver loved his treatment/massage. It wasn't just his left shoulder that was sore, his whole body was compensating and under strain. Oliver had weekly treatments to begin with and he loved them!! he would see the bed come out and he would lay down and wait for his time! Lisa was very good at reading his body language and if he wanted to get up at any time he could.

Myotherapy has changed our lives. It has given me back my best friend and to top it off Oliver is able to enjoy working again and also won awards at Crufts this year. I can not thank Lisa and Galen Myotherapy enough.
