Canterbury Bell Broadstairs

We visit for breakfast quite regularly which is always lovely with friendly staff but went today for a Mothers Day meal. Unfortunately my husband had booked the wrong day so we had no reservation but they very kindly squeezed us in and the food was really good. Highly recommended!

We popped in on Monday night after a hospital appointment. Fantastic service, friendly staff and very tasty food 👍

Stayed here for 2 nights. Can not foult the place. Comfortable, clean and very quiet. Had breakfast included. Food was excellent. The staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed 5 nights over Christmas, to visit our family in Ramsgate. From check in to check out, staff had been amazing, one evening room felt a bit chilly, within minutes of asking, heat was increased.

Mr Woods was such a laugh on Christmas day, the room attendant was top class, always spoke. Hotel was very secure, with swipe cards to pass reception door.

Service in hotel and bar, was top class, what amazed us was every member of staff seemed happy to be at work.

Room was clean, nice deep bath with shower. Tea and coffee in room with biscuits.

Food in pub was also good, good price, wine was good too. To the manager , you have a gift. Cheers for 2018.

Out with my family including my 17 year old son who has special needs and waitress Lorraine could not do enough for us. She took the time to understand what my son was telling her (his speech is not always very clear) and went to extra lengths to get a few alterations to the menu to better suit his needs. Thanks Lorraine � And great service as ever Canterbury Bell

Not bad food but not as good as it used to be ! It seems sometimes that it’s all a bit rushed and not enough staff by that I mean it all begins to look a bit shabby tables not clean toilets a bit unclean and it begins to be all about getting as many people through the door eating and out ! More customer service and less rush rush please

First time here and the food was excellent. Hag the Gammon steak and was superp. The waitress Becky was excellent. Will definitely be back next time I am in Broadstairs. Please keep up the good work.

Excellent, the young chap that served us has an amazing memory, didn't write down what we wanted (3 of us ordered different things) but it was bang on even after he was distracted by people on another table, food was perfect.

Checked in yesterday as a treat for my son's birthday. The staff had put balloons around room and glitter stars, happy birthday banners and a note wishing him a happy birthday. Was so unexpected but such a lovely touch. We had dinner in the restaurant which was amazing and cooked to perfection. The breakfast was also lush. All the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely been staying again. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Amazing food, best burger I've ever had (Two Ways Chicken Burger with extra bacon and steak burger). Service was unparalleled compared to other similar venues. Highly recommended!

Went for lunch with my 13 year old daughter for my birthday. Food was good as was the service. We will be back.

My husband and I decided to do abit of shopping and I suggested we stop and have food! My daughter and myself have been before and thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere!

We had the 20oz mixed grilled which was amazing and very filling as I was unable finish mine. We will visit again soon

I have been here quite a few times normally the service is ok but went there today waited for a table then basically was told to get the menus and sit down then im looking around for a child menu too, finally someone then asked what I was looking for and managed to grab me one. All the staff behind the bar need to learn to smile a bit more ( we all know it's not fun being at work, but at least look like your enjoying it) the staff seemed to want to talk to friends/colleagues that where hanging around more than serving people, bit of a shame really.

It was ok first time but had a hair in one of the drinks when I complained he looked straight at my hair as if to say it was mine firstly mines long and red and this was short and dark and secondly my hubby has a shaved head. No apology but did change the drink but had already been put of tbf and then our dinners came all I can say is I wish we had gone to Tesco or Sainsbury’s and brought our own. It’s fair to say we won’t be going back

I really liked my buttermilk chicken sliders. My husband, however, didn't enjoy his fish and chips. Food was served quick. But I didn't think it was good value for money.

Been a few times before really liked it so booked over a month ago to come back for fathers day and wish I hadn’t quiet disappointed with the cold food to start with, didn’t feel as relaxing as it has before we took Grandson as taken him before but really not happy with the outside play area surely there is an age limit and adult supervision wasn’t up held when my 2 yr old grandson nearly got pushed off the top of the slide because of 3 older kids pushing there way in front and him and pushing him out the way going up and down the slide the wrong way and the mother when I went over and said we would go elsewhere just laughed if my grandson has been hurt she wouldn’t be laughing kids play areas that small are not for uncontrollable older kids that you couldn’t care less if they hurt other parents/ grandparents children wasn’t the only ones having trouble when there was a dad with his young son too having to ask the older kids to move and let his son go down the slide too wrong on so many levels feel quiet angry a day ruined by ignorant people
