From traditional basket arrangements with poinsettia to more contemporary arrangements including succulents in a range of containers - there is something for everyone!! These make a great gift at this festive time of year as well as a simple way to add some festive cheer to your own homes...

Christmas has arrived here at Groves! Our homemade festive turkey baps, filled with pigs in blankets, stuffing and cranberry sauce are now available from 11.30am! 😁

Our grotto is now open at Canterbury Garden Centre every Saturday (10.30am - 4pm) and Sunday (10.30am - 3.30pm) until Christmas. We have had some fantastic feedback already and hope you will bring the family along to meet Santa when you can. We would like to remind all customers that there is a £5 entry fee which includes a donation to the Lions Charity as well as an age appropriate gift. We apologise for any inconvenience but this payment can only be taken in cash as we do not have the facility to take card payments in our grotto.

If you haven’t yet made the most of our incredible voucher offer in store be sure to pop in and get yours. Currently you can purchase £30 worth of our vouchers for only £25! A great gift for those who are difficult to buy for and love their gardens! (Vouchers only redeemable after 25th December)

🎅🎅This year we have fixed the grotto entry price at £5 this covers a donation to the fantastic Whitstable & Herne Bay Lions and an age appropriate wrapped gift 🎁 This way the Lions are guaranteed a sizeable donation to their charities, which we will also top up and every child gets a great gift too!
We do not profit from the grotto, your entry fee simply covers the time and cost of the grotto and gifts🎅🎅

We love our new magical Christmas tree at Canterbury Garden Centre... Come and admire it with a coffee in our restaurant.

The staff in the garden centre are knowledgeable and helpful. I have never bought a plant that has not thrived in my garden. At Christmas they also had some cool gifts. The cafe staff are exceptionally helpful and patient with all customers. I felt they coped well when they were extremely busy over the Christmas period. I have always found them to be polite friendly and helpful.

So much to look at and buy. Not just a garden centre.

Purchased a lovely coat for my Granddaughter.

Cafe serves lovely hot and cold food and drinks.

Staff all very friendly and helpful.

Quite pricey, but the plants are good quality so I won't grumble. The staff were incredibly helpful, and Dot happily found me a box to help carry my plants so I could get on the bus! Very wide range of perennials, and beautifully arranged in lovely displays too.

My husband and I go for a breakfast on a Sunday morning a lot, we always have the head Gardner breakfast. Can't beat it and best breakfast for miles around. Food always lovely and the produce is high quality, its always lovely and hot. Just one tiny criticism about the sausages that they need a bit more colour on the outside as they don't look cooked ( but they ) staff very helpful and friendly. Resturant always spotless.

I love this place. Great café with a good selection of cakes and friendly staff. Lots of interesting gifts and lots of stuff for the garden. A little bit expensive but all is good quality.

Had head gardener breakfast on my lastvist was great have eaten there many times have had all of menu all great food ,bought fish,tank, accessories etc found the staff very knowledgeable and helpfull,love this place always have a good wander around ,a bit pricey but well worth it

Always such Amazing service -BUT today exceptional !!! Had quite a few questions in aquatic dept. Despite LEE being in the middle of a maintenance job - he stopped what he was doing. Not only was he so helpful - he was SO KNOWLEDGEABLE We were so impressed. Brilliant. Would recommend to everyone !!! Keep up the good work and exceptional customer experience because of Lee s help. THANK YOU SO MUCH. !! 👍🏻👍🏻

Garden centre is very good however the restaurant was awful. The Groves quiche with salad and new potatoes was served in a bowl!!therefore the hot quiche and potatoes were on top of the salad and wilted the salad making it inedible, the potatoes were not nice and the quince over cooked, really wasn't worth the £7.95 charged and when was served at our table the tea towel the waiter had was filthy. My husbands meal of ham egg and chips was described as gammon and was a thin slice of processed ham and egg was really greasy. Will not be eating here again
