This weekend we re-opened after our winter break. We had a very busy couple of day!!! It feels good to be back! We also welcomed new trainee chef Katie, who did a fantastic job, her afternoon teas and scones are just perfection! We will be open Friday - Sunday 10-4.30 until Easter where we will open 6 days a week again. Look forward to welcoming everyone!!

Such a lovely place to have a bite before seeing Jane Austen's home. So thrilled they had options for vegetarians - all they need now is sugar free cake!

Just had the most delightful surprise 30th birthday bash here. Food was delicious!!! Thank you to the lovely staff who made us feel so welcome!

I took a friend to celebrate a special birthday for afternoon tea .

We had choice of sandwiches scone jam/cream and lovely selection cakes . Never ending teapot. Service was very attentive and friendly . Will definitely recommend and return myself .

Only popped in for a cuppa and a slice of cake after wandering June Austin’s house across the road, they kindly allowed as to use a table that was reserved on the proviso we would finish up before the time it was booked for.



Lovely pot of tea, my wife said her coffee and walnut cake was absolutely delightful, I had a slice of the Battenberg cake which was okay but I wouldn’t order again if we returned.

My husband and I visited Cassandras Cup 3 times over the course of the weekend. The multigrain porridge was awesome, the lunch was really good, although could have done with a bit more salad. The vegetarian cooked breakfast was good, they even found an egg when they thought they had run out! But as was very similar to the Cassandras breakfast which included free coffee/tea and a pound cheaper I was naturally a bit disappointed , it was expensive in comparison, and bacon and real sausages are more costly than veggie ! However we will be back as all teh staff were very helpful and friendly.

Lovely food , delightful setting hence the prices . Good quality fresh food local products . Go there often .

Gluten free toast and jam for breakfast and a lovely cup of tea! Just hit the spot on our Sunday morning before the house hunting started!

We felt that the room was very small, however, the breakfast was good.

The cream tea was lovely, but the service was terrible. We were made to feel like we were imposing. Worst service I've known in a long time

Mixed review really. We've been twice before. Atmosphere good and coffee nice but available cakes very limited.

On 5th, we checked web site and it said they were open. We rode 13 miles from Hook in sub zero temperatures only to see a closed sign with no explanation. Whilst we were there (ten minutes), five other groups of people shared a similar disappointment. Great way to lose customers.
