World Hello Day was first created in 1973 in order to show people, especially the people of the Middle East that conflicts can and should be resolved through communication, and not violence. The idea is that clear, honest communication breeds peace. Sam who we booked through was always on hand to assist us with the organisation! A real bespoke service! Claire and Paul were our main bar staff on the night and were absolute stars! Great room and lovely hearty breakfast!

I held my wedding here on Saturday 21st July 2018. I couldn’t not have wished for a better wedding day from start to finish! It’s honestku like a hidden gem in the heart of countryside! I would like to personally hank Lisa who started our wedding plans and Emily for answering all my emails I’m sure I was very annoying! Venue was beautiful bridal suite, library room to get ready the rooms we stayed in to the room we got married in! Can’t thank you all enough and the staff on the day were fantastic!

Had our wedding here a few days ago & the staff could not have done more for us, the bridal suite is incredible & the food was amazing. Thank you once again to the staff of chartridge lodge for making our day so special!!

Great place to relax, nice location and friendly staff. Very much enjoyed our stay and would look forward to come again.

having just spent a night here was greeted by a very friendly male receptionist who told us we had been upgraded to the Bridal suite (as it was our wedding anniversary ) Our Room on the first floor and is in the picture, was roomy, bright and very clean and the bathroom was beautiful with a freestanding roll top bath with a waterfall tap and double shower, although the shower sprayed out onto the floor we just adjusted the angle and all was good. Evening meal served in the bar area and we were the only guest eating at that time, service was quick and food good. Bed was very comfy and a great nights sleep. Breakfast in the dining room was also good except the bacon was a bit rubbery everything else was good. we found the staff very helpful and attentive. We had a lovely stay thank you.

My wife and I had a lovely afternoon cream tea. Wonderful service to much to eat so what we left was boxed up for us to takeaway.

Lovely room clean comfortable bed food was good staff friendly

Held our wedding there on the 29th April 2017. Everybody very happy with the rooms, gardens and function rooms. Staff very helpful, friendly and attentive. Kids were able to run around outside and enjoy the bouncy castle. Bridal suite was a lovely large room with a very well equipped bathroom/shower.

my expericen was very good..

but only feel disappointed with the water,

not enough presure and not enough hot,

i am in room number 79.. maybe only iny room not have enough water presure and the hot water temperature is not good

Whole place lacks atmosphere, bed uncomfortable,tv remote didn't work. Told the fella when checking out but got the impression nothing will be done about it. Disappointing and dated. Shame because it could be lovely but currently isn't.

Its ok for a place to sleep. But its very dated. The shower was very small and was like being rained on! The bar area where the evening meal was served is drab, dark and lacks any sort of atmosphere ( apart from that which was coming from the large telly that was on). Was also charged 3 quid for a cup of instant coffee. The wi fi is very poor too.

Would not recommend.

Luckily we only had the overnight stay there but even that wasn't a pleasant experience, the rooms are awful, nothing has been touched since the 70's including the peach coloured bathroom! 2 singles pushed together made an awful double with very cheap cool spring mattresses. The shower was terrible, it just dribbled water out of the head. The TV didn't work either. When we reported a few things upon checking out the man at reception didn't write anything down just mumbled oh ok well I'll pass on that information. It's a real pity because it's not a bad looking building set in lovely grounds.
