On the afternoon of Saturday 7th July (hot on the tails of our Nursery Fun day) we had a group of past students from 1978 who visited Chiltern to celebrate 40 years since they trained with us. They had a tour of the nurseries followed by cake and refreshments and it was lovely to hear about their time at Chiltern and what fond memories they all have. Here are photos of their graduation and their visit on Saturday

Fun day took place on Saturday 7th July. It was a lovely sunny day , and lots of families enjoyed the stalls, bbq cakes and refreshments. Over £1770 was raised and this will be used to buy some resources for nursery.

We had a student reunion group, who trained with us in1968, come to visit yesterday. Some of them had travelled from as far afield as Australia, Zimbabwe and South Africa. They enjoyed reminiscing about their time at Chiltern and they shared lots of memories, which was followed by tea and cake.

We had a group of students who joined Chiltern from Welgarth College sometime during September 1978 and July 1980. Were you in that group or do you have contact with someone who was? Our student group from 1978 to July 1980 would love to get in touch with them.

I trained in 1966-1968 and thoroughly enjoyed it. I now have three children and five grandchildren, they are all great. My surname was Parish in those days, it is now Wharram.

I trained here here from 1998-2000. Great experience and the start of my early education journey

I trained from 1953-1955 and it was a memorable time. A very broad education in so many fields. if anyone about now would love to hear from them.

I trained at Chiltern in 1988. I learned so much from my education & experiences here. I received the best training and took all I learned back home to the States. My Chiltern training prepared me well for further studies and a career in Early Childhood Education.

I lived and trained from 1981-1983 and had the best time. The training has stood me all my life as a career and as a mother. The core of childcare has been the basis of all the care I have given to babies, children, teens, adults with special needs over the last 34 years and still working in care today.

Thank you children I am delays proud to say

I was trained at Chiltern Nursery Training College and value my NNEB today.

I'd love to see the people I trained with.

Friends I remember then we're Julie?and Katryn Hedderwick.

I left Chiltern in 1989, it was truly the best experience ever.....

I came away with a wealth of knowledge & practical experiences behind me, confidence in my own ability, and a qualification that literally opens doors for you.

I adored being a Nanny, it's a very special vocation.

I now have three children of my own who are all amazing, confident individuals - probably because their Mum was Chiltern Trained!
