CSSEF provides deaf awareness sessions in schools, brownies, beavers, rainbows, scouts and cubs and more.

Chloe'S And Sophie'S Special Ears Fund Description

Chloe’s and Sophie’s Special Ears Fund (CSSEF). CSSEF is inspired and motivated by Chloe and Sophie Jackson. Chloe and Sophie are both from Aldershot, Hampshire.
When Chloe was 4 years old, her parents went along to a routine yearly hearing test. Chloe’s parents were told the words they never thought they would hear, Chloe was deaf. A question mark hung over Sophie’s hearing. After being told she could hear on many occasions, her parents were told that Sophie was deaf as well.
Shortly after Chloe started school, her parents found out there was things out there that could help her hear more in the classroom and school. However, there was little to no funding to provide this. This was the day CSSEF was founded, 21st October 2010.

The lovely people from Stubby's Window Cleaning are coming to clean our windows at our new charity shop in Bordon today.
We are so thankful as they are gifting their services to us.
Look forward to seeing through the windows at long last.

We would like to wish one of our Trustee's Paul Johnston-Naylor the best of luck in his new job at Cineworld Aldershot.
Paul is the best friend of our Founder Brian Jackson and Uncle to our own Chloe and Sophie. Over the years he has felt first hand the frustration of not being able to go to the cinema with his best friend or nieces.
As a General Manager, Paul is keen to support subtitles being available in the cinema. His passion is huge and we are sure that in the future th...ere will be a change that is very needed.
Good Luck Paul.

Good luck to Paul Johnston-naylor and Sean Kurn who are running the Brighton Marathon Weekend 26.2 miles today!
The last time they did this race the sun was torture. Today it is freezing, which to some us could be perfect running conditions.
PB's all the way at Brighton today, enjoy the party round as you go Paul and Sean.
... They have raised over £300 so far which is incredible! Here's their fundraising link if you can drop a donation in uk.virginmoneygiving.com/BRIGHTON2019CSSE F

Sign Language is beautiful.
Today we were honoured to witness something so prescious.
Little Ruby, aged 15 weeks old, visited us at The Hub for Deaf Children by CSSEF. She is our youngest member.
... Her parents let us all meet her and a few of us had a cuddle. Thea, a deaf adult who attends The Hub, came to meet Ruby. Thea was signing Mummy Daddy to Ruby and it was wonderful to watch little Ruby's face looking at Thea signing.
We really are blessed to see something so wonderful.

Today is World Health Day.
We marked this by hosting a Smoothie Workshop at The Hub for Deaf Children by CSSEF.
Being healthy isn't just about just what you eat. Mental Health is so important as well.
... Bringing these children together makes a difference. Bringing the parents together makes a difference. Showing the children Sign Language makes a difference. Having older Deaf adults makes a difference.
Please do keep sharing the link of The Hub and CSSEF to anyone you know. You never know when they may know someone that needs us.
