Hope everyone is enjoying their summer holidays. An urgent plea from the Chuckles committee - we desperately need more volunteers to join us in running Chuckles if we are able to continue next term. You would be part of a team taking it in turns to oversee sessions and doing a little behind-the-scenes admin. Alternatively, do make contact asap if you're interested in a paid supervisor role (about three hours per week, term time only) as our current supervisor is relocating. It's a really special group - do let us know if you can help! Thank you

Today was the last Chuckles before the holidays. And it was a fantastic one - our annual summer party!
Please spread the word about Chuckles - we'd love to see some old faces back soon, and meet some new ones! We look forward to seeing you back on 10th September. More news to follow about our exciting programme of events for the Autumn term... Have a great summer all!

Don't miss the highlight of the Chuckles calendar - the summer party, complete with bouncy castle, special craft, outside water play, a toddler rollercoaster and more. Join us after the session for a picnic on Dean Meadow. Usual cost of £2.50 per family.

A massive thank you for all the donations of toys and clothes for Carriers of Hope. It's a small charity providing essential items to families that are experiencing poverty and lacking basic personal and household facilities. All your unwanted items will find some very worthy new homes.

Next Monday's Chuckles is not to be missed. It's our annual summer party complete with bouncy castle, special craft, Sports Day races - and this year, we'll also have some water play activities outside, and a toddler 'rollercoaster'. Please bring a picnic to have after the session and some spare clothes for the water play!

On Monday we will be collecting any unwanted good condition items at Chuckles for Carriers of Hope. It is a small charity based in the Midlands providing essential items to families that are experiencing poverty and lacking basic personal and household facilities. One of the services they provide is delivering toys/clothes to children who do not have any/very little. If you can, please bring any unwanted good condition items to Chuckles and we will pass them onto Carriers of ...Hope. Of particular need are the following:
Children's/baby items – clothes, shoes and toys
Adult clothes
Household linen

All the fun of the farm today! Wonderful to spend a sunny day with some lovely Chuckles families at Bucklebury Farm Park. Highlights were the private tractor ride, a two week old baby donkey, and rabbits and guinea pigs to cuddle. Normal Chuckles next week before the big summer party on Mon 16th.

Don't forget we won't be at Hampstead Norreys tomorrow - Chuckles is on tour at Bucklebury Farm Park instead! Thank you to the families who have signed up to join us. I have just emailed those we have addresses for, and here are the details again:
We will be meeting at the reception desk there at 9.45am. Once we've checked in, we'll aim to stick around the slides for a while to pick up any latecomers. If we've moved on when you arrive, just mention that you're with Chuckles ...for the discount. No need to stick together all morning but you're more than welcome to of course. They'll give us a timetable of the day's activities when we arrive but we're likely to have a private tractor ride and farm tour at 10.30am followed by the usual pat a pet / free play, and most of us are bringing a picnic to have about 12pm and might stick around for some of the afternoon. As a reminder, discounted prices are £5.75 per child, £2.88 for a two year old (under 2s are free), and one adult is free for every six. As we are expecting ten adults, you'll pay £8.95 each. A big welcome to Chuckles, beautiful baby Ronnie! He chilled in the baby zone while the big children enjoyed the football themed fun. ⚽️

We will have Football World Cup themed activities at Chuckles on Monday: Football games for toddlers & preschoolers, football craft and facepainting! Bring your child dressed in their favourite team colours if you like!
Come and join us at one of West Berks' best toddler groups (as nominated by the Little Ankle Biter Awards) Mondays 9.45-11.30am at Hampstead Norreys Village Hall. £2.50/family.

Join us tomorrow and you could make this cute little chap out of an egg box! 🐛 The weather is set to be nice so we'll bring the trampoline, slide, ride-ons etc outside for some fresh air ☀️

Bring a teddy to Chuckles on Monday for our teddy bears picnic session - with bear cakes outside at snack time, teddy craft and a special music time... 🐻

A HUUUGE thank you to everyone who voted for Chuckles in the Little Ankle Biters Awards. We were just pipped to the post, but delighted to be a finalist.

Date for the diary! Chuckles will be on tour on Mon 2nd July - rather than a morning in Hampstead Norreys, we have negotiated a group rate at Bucklebury Farm Park. Prices are £5.75 per child, half that price for a two year old, and there should be a slight discount for adults too (under 2s are free). We'll enjoy a private farm tour and tractor ride as well as the usual pat a pet sessions etc and free play. Please email chuckles@hampsteadnorreys.org.uk to let us know if you'd like to join. You can pay on the day but we need numbers in advance.
