We have now reopened and performances for the rest of the day are going on as normal. Our health and safety of our customers are important to us which is why we had to take precautions to close the building this morning. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

Fantastic value at their junior cinema morning. £2.50 a ticket and the films weren’t that old. Comfortable seating and we were warm (unlike at other cinemas where they blast the aircon out even in winter) and seats were comfortable and the volume was just right. Will be taking advantage of their junior films again this half term! :)

User

Dont usually leave reviews but i feel like this one needed, went to see star wars yesterday and as we approached the till to buy our tickets food etc, the staff that helped us couldn’t have been more friendlier, as i am not from the area this guy made me feel welcomed he had cracking banta whilst still remaining very professional people like this that make trips to places more enjoyable so if you should ever see this review mate keep doing what your doing and get a pay rise!

User

Always go to cineworld, clean, friendly staff, food is pricey so we eat before and just have s drink during the film.

User

The seats were quite comfortable but in Bluewater they have recliners now which makes the cinema experience more enjoyable so that's is something worth thinking about. I really enjoyed the film it was good and very funny. Buying the tickets was easy and stress free. I would definitely come back to this cinema again.

User

Nice smiley friendly staff ( quiet weekday afternoon). Cinema was clean and tidy.

Slight glitch on screen before the movie started (awkward silence), but was all good once started.

Suggestion on prices... I think you should have a daytime afternoon deal on all weekday screenings, it might encourage more people to come along.

User

I like cine world Rochester but I don't like their filthy blocked toilets....

It's simple cine world, get it sorted

Having an Unlimited card really makes you want to go the cinema more often plus the staff are professional and friendly. The cinema is clean and tidy when I go. At Rochester Cinema Screen 8 is my favourite screen for comfort and leg room. Screen 1 has the biggest screen of course. The sound is good in the cinema. Food and drink are not cheap however with an unlimited card you can get up to 25% off. Sunday they do the Movies for Juniors which the tickets are heavily discounted ideal for parents with a big family. Would recommend to all ages and of course age appropriate films.

User

Welcoming and helpful staff. Clean and tidy in all areas. Good quality of food and drink and offers available. Reasonable priced tickets. However, found the seats in screen 5 to be old, worn, lumpy and hard. I sat in seat E13. Leg room fair. No options for seat upgrades. Good screen and sound. Overall good.

User

We was watching Ocean 8 film was good but we was really really cold I had my jacket on but that wasn’t enough! My poor husband had shorts on & had to use the serviettes On his legs to warm his self up! How bad is that...

Staff friendly. Watched the RSC twelfth night. In screen 4 it felt like the seats are past being average. Mine felt as if someone had stolen the foam out of the backrest. Came into foyer at the interval to madness 150 people hanging around and the ice cream cabinet only had about 4 flavours to offer. Honestly not my first choice of cinema

User

Not enough attention paid to temperature control in the current hot spell.

I was forced to walk out of the screening of Jurassic World due to the oppressive heat. I informed two staff members, who , to be frank, weren’t overly bothered.

Big shame because the cinema generally is very good.

User

Cinema cold again take a jumper even if 39 degrees outside nice to start wiv but 2 hrs in not lol. Everything else spot on apart the little extra charges here and there

User

Went to see black panther, viewing was fine, there was only 2 till open at the concession counter, so there was only one person serving drinks and food and selling tickets, there was at least 6 other members of staff lurking around “looking” busy I was standing in the que for at least 10mins and there was only 1 family in front of me.

Nice cinema, bad service

User

To be fair....not that it was totally Cineworld’s fault.....but it took us over 20 mins to park....went to Frankie & Benny’s 15min wait dirty restaurant....dirty plates and glasses everywhere....went to Coast to Coast 25min wait!! Ended up in Maccy D’s. Waited for 10 mins in the Cineworld bar nobody appeared to get us a drink....then queued for 10 mins at the soft drink area....gave up and went in to enjoy a fantastic film Mamma Mia which made up for the rubbish start to our evening!!! Will stick to Odeon Dockside in future!!

User

My word the food counter service was soooooooooooo slow. Everyone else being served rapidly because they know there is a film to watch but the one line, we were waiting for 25 minutes and then 10 minutes for hot dog, nachos and popcorn. Turned out hot dogs weren't up to temperature and that I'd have to wait 15 minutes otherwise downsize. Not on really. Everything should be ready all the time and no need to read my order out 4 times.

User

My sis and i came yesterday to watch "black panther" , we got there just as the film started, there was a chap at screen door , he did say he could get torch and walked off to get one we thought, my sis has problems with her eye sight and we struggled to find our seats cause it was dark , the chairs r a bit narrow and it was a small screen, considering it was a brand new film .

User

Took kids to see the Olaf film. It was a disaster. We had pre booked tickets but still had to que 30 minutes outside in the cold. There was one person on the till and one person checking tickets which is ridiculous when it's that busy! We finally got into the screen and the film had already started we took ages trying to find our seats in the dark then all of a sudden the lights went on and they stopped the film because half the people hadn't found their seats or sat down yet due to lack of organisation getting in! We then sat for a Further 35 minutes waiting for the film to restart and had people bitching behind us about others turning up Late even though it wasn't our fault! Which was irritating me more and kids were feeling uncomfortable. The film lasted 20 minutes yet on the site it stated 109 minutes but we didn't realise that was including the original frozen film. So half the cinema got up and left because they'd had enough! I've never seen disorganisation like it. Definitely needed more staff! And the management was terrible Such a shame because we come here regularly hopefully see improvements soon!

User

Myself, my husband and my son are unlimited customers and go to Rochester on a frequent basis. We have noticed the standards slipping over the past few weeks but our experience yesterday was the worst yet. Don’t get me wrong the staff have always been very polite and friendly but it’s more to be with the obvious lack of staff. We went to see Paddington 2 last night and when we arrived it was all in total chaos. Bins overflowing, total and utter mess everywhere in the foyer, behind the counter and even the toilets where a mess! We queued for at least 20 minutes to get a drink because the ticket tills were not open. We almost missed the start of the film and when it finally started it was all pixilated and they tried to re boot it twice before asking us to leave. As we were leaving they managed to get the film working again so we did manage to see the film all beit very late. It was just a shame to the people who had already left. Great film and the staff were very informative and apologetic throughout the experience but they really need more help. It’s such a shame to see it going like this and hope it can be rectified soon!

User

Cineworld have just informed me they cancelled the one night I can go and see the spitfire film, bloody useless shower, won't get to see it now, nor will my dad who is so looking forward to it!
