Overseeing all things from our English South Coast Warehouse is Päivi Salo - a professional costumier and fabric retailer with over 20 years in the industry.
We have a mission statement of offering Honest Prices, No Minimum Orders and Free Postage, and I love to offer my knowledge and guidance wherever I can. We are here to make the start of your sewing journey as enjoyable as possible.
Introducing Päivi…
After managing fabrics shops in London for over a decade, I followed my love of designing and making and went on to study Costume for Theatre & Film, gaining a BA Hons. Since graduating, I have worked in the industry as a Freelance Maker & Wardrobe Supervisor for The Royal Opera House, Kylie Minogue, Rambert as well as events such such the National Television Awards and Prince Charles’ 50 Year Investiture Gala at Buckingham Palace.
ClothControl has been running alongside this busy career since 2015. However now, with the impact of the current pandemic, I get to enjoy my passion for fabrics full-time. And as of June 2020 I brought my partner Matt to work for the company when we moved ourselves into a lovely new and much bigger warehouse.
