We went steak evening this Thursday 15th June for the very first time , 2 steaks Sirloin or Rump with a bottle of red Hardy's £20 , forgot to order peppercorn sauce , shame server didn't mention this to us when we ordered , could had done with more chips , but excellent value .

We had a lovely meal here at the weekend the staff where brilliant and service was very quick our waiter Harvey was fantastic and we will definitely be going back

We booked a table for 5pm for 13 and 1 highchair



The staff were very welcoming and pleasant



We ordered starters and mains off the menu and assumed we'd wait a while as it is a fairly large party but the starters were out in about 15mins max and everybody really enjoyed them



The mains came out a good time after the starter plates were taken away



Again everybody enjoyed their mains too



Lovely evening spent at the Coaching Halt and would recommend it

My Wife and I had a great meal, I was fortunate enough to win a free Steak Night meal for two and it was lovely, we both had sirloins and they were cooked perfectly. We also had starters and dessert and couldn’t fault anything.



Staff were great, very friendly, attentive and prompt service, keep up the good work, we’ll definitely be back soon!

Lovely meal in wonderful restaurant with good & pleasent service, a wide choice on the menu but highly recommend the roast chicken cooked beautiful with cheese & bacon topping plus the staff are friendly & make you welcome, food was served very hot that's why I did not mind waiting for my order thank you team.

Sat outside lots of noise from the back entrance barrels being rolled in sounded like cleaning going on right next to a full over brimming bin not good .

Had a really nice meal on Wednesday evening,the staff were very friendly and efficient. The service was good and the food very good. We had the chicken night meal,will definitely be back to try other items on what looked a very good menu.

Went there last night food was good but had to wait ages to get a drink and then when the girl brought drinks over didnt take our order waiting another 20 mins i ended up going to the bar when its supose to be waitress service could understand if it was busy but it wasnt first time experience not great

We was a bit disappointed when the main meal came along one of our friends ordered a rare steak which had to be sent back to the kitchen as it was swimming in blood he had no peppercorn sauce which was ordered for his steak after the meal we ordered two Bailey's coffee and these appeared just Bailey's and ice so wasn't really happy with the service

Was ok meal mixed grill not the best, kids veg sticks very poor as not fresh and slow service.

The meat of the Piri Piri Chicken was very dry....not impressed.

A few of my colleges had various cold items served to them....however this was quickly remedied with replacement food.

The service was fairly prompt and precise.

Would I return...not for the chicken that's for sure.

Having been to the coaching halt with family and friends several times with not a problem tonight was they worst service i have ever had. Arriving at a booked time of 5:30pm It took an hour and a half to bring food out. I had to young children with me who were starving. Supposedly order didnt print in the kitchen. Instead of being offered a discount we pretty much had to force 30%off out of them. Such a shame. Very dissapointed

Went in October for Sunday lunch. Walked in and was completely ignored by staff and management for 10 minutes before we walked out. Told my partner that I would never go in there again. Last week, we won a free meal for four from my daughters school. Went last night, 15th of December, begrudgingly. 2 staff walked passed without a word. Manager came over and greeted us, then checked our reservation. Took us to room in the back by the toilets where the table wasn't clean, and there was food all over the floor. Manager says, don't worry about the mess, we know you didn't make it. Asked about the free meal voucher. Apparently free meal doesn't include drinks or starters. No worries. Mains come out. Cold peas, flavourless steak and soggy fries. At least the kids liked their food. Good thing it was free, but I'll never go back. Disappointing as it was good the first few times we went.

We were a large party for a birthday celebration. We'd pre-ordered our starters and mains to make it easier. We had requested the booth/private type area and had been told yes that is where we would be but when we arrived we were one long table in the restaurant. The starters came out, well half of them did then after a little wait the other half came. We were stil waiting for our mains at 21.15 (our table was booked for 19.30 but everyone had arrived earlier than this) things came out wrong. One person had ordered Wiltshire ham that came out and it tasted off. One meal never showed up and 15 minutes later it did but was cremated!!! No offer of coffee or desserts. I won't be recommending and we won't be visiting as a group again

This is the third and final time I've given them a chance of improvement we waited 54 minutes for our lunch, chicken was tasteless the onion rings were dry stale and fried to an inch of it's life, my son had 'nuggets' dry and stale, the quality of this way this food is cooked and served is very very poor, harvester is better and cheaper. The waitresses looked like they didn't wanna b there either. What a shame, we have had past experiences but always the same which has proved to me that it isn't just an off patch this is a place that regularly neglects their customers and serves up sh*t food

Having been to the coaching halt with family and friends several times with not a problem tonight was they worst service i have ever had. Arriving at a booked time of 5:30pm It took an hour and a half to bring food out. I had to young children with me who were starving. Supposedly order didnt print in the kitchen. Instead of being offered a discount we pretty much had to force 30%off out of them. Such a shame. Very dissapointed

Food was very dry and over cooked, would have been nice to have a bit more choice for those of us who don't eat meat

Went in October for Sunday lunch. Walked in and was completely ignored by staff and management for 10 minutes before we walked out. Told my partner that I would never go in there again. Last week, we won a free meal for four from my daughters school. Went last night, 15th of December, begrudgingly. 2 staff walked passed without a word. Manager came over and greeted us, then checked our reservation. Took us to room in the back by the toilets where the table wasn't clean, and there was food all over the floor. Manager says, don't worry about the mess, we know you didn't make it. Asked about the free meal voucher. Apparently free meal doesn't include drinks or starters. No worries. Mains come out. Cold peas, flavourless steak and soggy fries. At least the kids liked their food. Good thing it was free, but I'll never go back. Disappointing as it was good the first few times we went.

We were a large party for a birthday celebration. We'd pre-ordered our starters and mains to make it easier. We had requested the booth/private type area and had been told yes that is where we would be but when we arrived we were one long table in the restaurant. The starters came out, well half of them did then after a little wait the other half came. We were stil waiting for our mains at 21.15 (our table was booked for 19.30 but everyone had arrived earlier than this) things came out wrong. One person had ordered Wiltshire ham that came out and it tasted off. One meal never showed up and 15 minutes later it did but was cremated!!! No offer of coffee or desserts. I won't be recommending and we won't be visiting as a group again

This is the third and final time I've given them a chance of improvement we waited 54 minutes for our lunch, chicken was tasteless the onion rings were dry stale and fried to an inch of it's life, my son had 'nuggets' dry and stale, the quality of this way this food is cooked and served is very very poor, harvester is better and cheaper. The waitresses looked like they didn't wanna b there either. What a shame, we have had past experiences but always the same which has proved to me that it isn't just an off patch this is a place that regularly neglects their customers and serves up sh*t food

The service is so slow by food and take forever to give us a drink...And food was nice but veggies is very hard....

We went steak evening this Thursday 15th June for the very first time , 2 steaks Sirloin or Rump with a bottle of red Hardy's £20 , forgot to order peppercorn sauce , shame server didn't mention this to us when we ordered , could had done with more chips , but excellent value .

We had a lovely meal here at the weekend the staff where brilliant and service was very quick our waiter Harvey was fantastic and we will definitely be going back

We booked a table for 5pm for 13 and 1 highchair



The staff were very welcoming and pleasant



We ordered starters and mains off the menu and assumed we'd wait a while as it is a fairly large party but the starters were out in about 15mins max and everybody really enjoyed them



The mains came out a good time after the starter plates were taken away



Again everybody enjoyed their mains too



Lovely evening spent at the Coaching Halt and would recommend it

Very warm welcoming family place to go food is lovely and distributed in good time staff are helpful and nice and the kids have books and play areas inside and out - highly recommend it xx

Staff very welcoming. Drinks arrived swiftly and food came shortly after. Will definitely going back again.

My Wife and I had a great meal, I was fortunate enough to win a free Steak Night meal for two and it was lovely, we both had sirloins and they were cooked perfectly. We also had starters and dessert and couldn’t fault anything.



Staff were great, very friendly, attentive and prompt service, keep up the good work, we’ll definitely be back soon!

Lovely meal in wonderful restaurant with good & pleasent service, a wide choice on the menu but highly recommend the roast chicken cooked beautiful with cheese & bacon topping plus the staff are friendly & make you welcome, food was served very hot that's why I did not mind waiting for my order thank you team.

Had lunch menu. £6 for a meal. I had steak and ale pie with veg and new pots and gf had place and chips with peas. Was expecting a little portion but was a full size meal and was very tasty.... will be going back again. Can add a dessert or starter for just £2 extra too.

Sat outside lots of noise from the back entrance barrels being rolled in sounded like cleaning going on right next to a full over brimming bin not good .

Had a really nice meal on Wednesday evening,the staff were very friendly and efficient. The service was good and the food very good. We had the chicken night meal,will definitely be back to try other items on what looked a very good menu.

Went there last night food was good but had to wait ages to get a drink and then when the girl brought drinks over didnt take our order waiting another 20 mins i ended up going to the bar when its supose to be waitress service could understand if it was busy but it wasnt first time experience not great

We was a bit disappointed when the main meal came along one of our friends ordered a rare steak which had to be sent back to the kitchen as it was swimming in blood he had no peppercorn sauce which was ordered for his steak after the meal we ordered two Bailey's coffee and these appeared just Bailey's and ice so wasn't really happy with the service

Was ok meal mixed grill not the best, kids veg sticks very poor as not fresh and slow service.

The meat of the Piri Piri Chicken was very dry....not impressed.

A few of my colleges had various cold items served to them....however this was quickly remedied with replacement food.

The service was fairly prompt and precise.

Would I return...not for the chicken that's for sure.

Had a lovely meal on Saturday night although waited over an hour for food the meal was worth the wait. Today I have been for lunch and really disappointed. I had the steak and onion sandwich medium rare but was more rare and very grisly and the onion was virtually non existent. Had salad with it but you had run out of salad dressing which I find hard to believe so no salad dressing available

Always used to have a fabulous meal, but this time our food wasn't hot. Burgers, and Roast dinner was only just luke warm. Even our chocolate melt in the middle puddings were cold. Didn't say anything as we were there for Mother's Day , and didn't want to spoil the day! Couldn't fault the service though, our waiter was excellent. Very disappointed in the food.

Waited ages for food today. Hardly any other customers. Staff too busy having their own breaks (which of course i know they need/ deserve, but four at the same time!!!). I dont think i saw the manageress do anything. When the food eventually came it was quite tasty though. Really disappointed. Wont go back

So the starters came out at the same time as the main. The nachos were nice and the gammon and Chicken pie was tasty but the mash was cold and I think old. The two burgers (the same) where the wrong ones. Taken back to the kitchen and the bacon was taken out and piri piri sauce put in. We know the same plates were bought out because one of the chips still had guacamole on it from the nachos. So the burgers had cheese that wasn't meant to be there and no sour cream.
