These images show some of the people and the places around our farm in BAhia.
Images of this local which is inside the Atlantic Forest, 4 miles from the beach. Thre is a river inside the forest, whose water makes possible agriculture and also the living of people.
This carving is made using the tagua nut, also known as vegetable ivory. The brown part is the skin of the nut, which is white inside. This material is environmentally friend as it is an alternative to ivory.
These earrings are made by Ricardo using natural seedpods, which nicely resemble small leaves. At the top, an acai seed or tento seed (red) is placed. It is a totally exclusive piece of jewellery.
Seeds necklaces are perhaps the most natural jewellery in the site; it is crafted by the local indians using seeds from vegetation from the north shore of Brazil. Even the thread is carefully handmade with plant fibers. The leaves used are called "tucum".
Coconut pati rings and earrings are still a quite exclusive product. They are made of another type of small coconut, which provides brownish and whitish patterns.
