Maugan Todd has always painted and drawn since childhood, but only began to pursue it seriously upon the loss of her brother in her 40s. She studied and trained in various places all over the UK, eventually choosing to specialise in painting. Drawn to the therapeutic nature of the medium, Maugan particularly enjoys capturing the colour and structure of flowers using watercolours, acrylics and applique.

Fiona Champion is a self taught artist with a passion for wildlife. Through her paintings she hopes to convey the love and respect she feels for animals whilst inspiring an interest in the plight of our wildlife.
Fiona has been lucky enough to see many animals in their natural habitat. She is inspired by the exhilaration of brief moments when she shares a glace with a wild animal, and feels a connection as it acknowledges her presence. This is what she hopes to depict in her ...work. It is a thrilling and exciting feeling, and a huge privilege. Every animal she paints, she has encountered. Most of them she has seen in the wild, but some are from conservation projects and zoos.
Fiona paints in both traditional and contemporary ways, using a variety of media, depending on the sentiment she wants to convey. Traditionally, she likes to evoke certain moments in time. Her style is often fun, to make you smile, or bold, so that it is hard to ignore. Fiona also works as a sculptor, with her first two bronze (foundry hot cast) sculptures, an elephant and a cheetah, now available as limited editions. A limited number of ceramic sculptures are also available. She has also produced her first garden sculpture – a polar bear.
During the exhibition Fiona will be working in the space so please visit to see both completed pieces and works in progress.

Just hosted my first solo exhibition at Colonnade House LiNe - LiGHT - LaND, a great friendly, helpful arts hub!

Clare and Richard were both very helpful when planning and putting up my recent art exhibition, "Reflections from the Seaside", in the large ground floor gallery space. They advertised the exhibition on social media, writing a critique and taking many photographs and putting it on Colonnade House events page. The space was well equipped with an excellent picture hanging system and state-of-the-art lighting. They also supplied and put up the signage for the window. When I wasn't present, they were more than happy to staff the space. Many thanks to both for making my exhibition a great experience and success. Sue
