Putting people before party politics

My name is Sean Rees and I am posting this today to introduce myself. I have been selected to stand in the Carmarthenshire County Council elections next May for Plaid Cymru and I would like to set out why I have decided to stand in the Glanymor ward.

Born and bred in the community, I, like you can see the challenges that we face every day in our area. I refuse to accept that this is as good as it gets. Our communities are too often forgotten about and are left behind because we are taken for granted by others. Enough is enough!

I currently work as an Admin Secretary and Campaigns Manager. I've taken the decision to stand as I want to see residents having more of a say on the issues that matter to us. We need to safeguard jobs and build our economy, tackle crime in the area as well as protecting our public services like our NHS and education.

If elected, I will make myself available all year round not just around local election time. I will also hold regular surgeries in the community. We are on your side.

I will be approaching every household in the Glanymor area over the coming months to find out what issues are important to you. I will base my entire campaign around your day to day experiences.

I'm determined to play my part and give you, your family and our community the strong voice that we deserve.
