Coming up in December we have an 80’s Disco on the first from 8pm to midnight and David Lacey on the 15th from 9pm. Both these events have been posted on here as “events” for some time so you should receive reminders via Facebook about them. If this is not happening, please let me know as we don’t want anyone to miss out.

Don’t forget, there is a Soul/Funk Disco this Friday (23rd) organised by Active Crich for Everyone. Everyone is welcome to attend and if you wish to become a club member please ask at the bar. Look forward to seeing you all there.

We are looking for a volunteer to take over the bingo calling every other Thursday evening between 7.30 and 9.00 as our current caller won’t be able to do the job much longer. Can anyone help us please?

User

Does anyone know the whereabouts of the Union Jack that was placed behind the silent soldier at the end of School Lane please? It belongs to a club member and not the club so we would be very grateful for its return. Thank you.

As I previously mentioned, the kids Christmas party will be on December 23rd from 4 until 7pm. We will hopefully have an entertainer rather than another disco.

What an amazing day we had yesterday!! The End of World War 1 party was a huge success. Many, many thanks to all the people who attended and supported the Club. So many people did so much to help it's impossible to thank them all individually but special thanks should go to Trish Howard, Debbie Kinghorn, Kevin Oliver and Richard Horton for the organisation of the event, to Phil Hartshorne for the donation of eggs for sandwiches etc, to The Loaf for the donation of bread rolls and to Peter Patilla for the loan of the Roll of Honour. Also, huge thanks to all the people who performed and entertained us throughout the afternoon without whom it would not have been possible.
Thank you everybody!!

Amazing as it may seem, Christmas is not that far away! Christmas Eve, Boxing Day evening and New Year’s Eve will all be disco nights and there will probably be a kids party in there somewhere. The exact time and date have yet to be decided but will be announced as soon as possible.

Following on from the November 70’s Disco, how about a bit of 80’s?

User

Due to the soul disco on the 23rd we have moved the normal end of month disco to the 17th and to make it a bit more special it will have a 70’s theme. If you feel like dressing up in 70’s gear that would be great.

What a tremendous few days we have had at the club! The bingo nights have finally got going followed by the ever popular quiz, on Friday we had a terrific band (Uncle Salty) who entertained us marvellously and will be back again in February. On Saturday we had a great Halloween celebration with a very well attended kids party early evening and a great disco from Paul. Huge thanks to everyone who contributed, especially Claire for her help with the Halloween decorations and ideas for the kids party, Jackie for providing the food for several events, all the bar staff for their hard work, Paul for his disco and everyone else who has worked so hard for the club and all the people who have attended and supported the club in so many ways.

The good folks from Active Crich for Everyone are having a soul disco as a tribute to the great Aretha Franklin. This event is open to all members, old and new and is also a fund raising event.

User

The next fortnightly bingo night is on the 8th November and is followed by the quiz.

User

Back by popular demand is David Lacey who has been very much liked on his previous visits to the club.

User

Thank you to Uncle Salty for a great night last night and to everyone who came to see them. If you missed them, as many did due to holidays, they will be back on Saturday 16th February 2019. We look forward to another very entertaining evening.

User

Uncle Salty. Great band playing now. It’s not too late to get here and hear some fantastic music.

User

The snooker team had a good night on Monday with a 4-1 win over Belper Strutt Club. Thank you to Jackie Lester for the great food.
