Went there on Friday 13/7 about 13-00 hours, service was good food was very good couldn’t fault it

We came last night, we had a lovely meal that was cooked nicely, the staff were very friendly and nice, you couldn't wish for better, x

Not been for many years, excellent service and food, only issue was a rude customer near us making life difficult for the waitress, there's always one!

Go here often, love the food and atmosphere, staff are amazing, today we had the lovely Carol again, she is always cheerful and fun, our other favourites are of course Denise and Mark, would never be the same without these guys there :)

We were greeted and promptly seated and sat waiting to be served by a chatty friendly waitress who took our order for drinks and food, we waited about 10 minutes for our drinks which were brought out by another young girl who took them to 2 other tables before coming to us after we told her they were ours, our food came just over an hour after we arrived at the restaurant, it was hot and very tasty, the waitress made sure everything was fine with our meals.

All in all the food was good the service was friendly but shockingly slow even though it wasn't overly busy.

Great food , I had the double bacon beef burger was very good but slightly chewy , service was quite slow (had to wait 10mins + each time I wanted a drink refill) our server Megan was very chatty and a bubbly personality and very helpful .

Lady took our order and when meals came out they forgot 1 order and had to wait while family members were eating theirs. However they took my meal off the bill as an apology

We booked a table for 1630, arrived and ordered 4 drinks, 1 starter and 2 adult meals, 2 kids meals, the drinks and starter arrived promptly however we waited 50 mins from plate being cleared for our mains to arrive! The place wasn't even particularly busy either. Once we asked when would it arrive it was then brought out and had obviously been sat for a while as the sauce had a thick skin and 1/2 the chips were cold. The plus side the steak was lovely, however i would not go out of my way to go to another beefeater in the foreseeable future and definitely not this one.

The staff were extremely friendly. The food was not as good as I expected it to be for the price we paid. I had the Rib Eye Steak, it was flavourless. My daughters spare ribs were ok she said. My wife had the gammon, she didn't eat the egg as it was undercooked. But 10/10 for the friendly staff

Christmas day table booked for 1.15 left at 3.30...3 hours to eat a three course meal, sat by a very hot radiator in the corner rather felt forgotten about. Service was not usual standard hardly saw our waitress, food was lovely when it arrived. Drinks took forever actually glad we won a pack of cards in our cracker it gave us something to do. Felt guilty not leaving a tip when they gave up their Christmas to feed us but actually didn't feel the service warranted one we didn't even wait for coffee just wanted to leave. Never had a Christmas meal out before and not sure I would do it again.

went for a nice quiet meal with my family only to be put onto a cornered table, followed by being surrounded by a large family with at least 5 children who completely ruined the experience. non stop shouting and screaming followed by complaints after complaints and mess being thrown all around us and that was just the adults.

can I please suggest a children's section or family area so adults that actually come out for a nice peaceful meal won't have their evening spoilt. missed out pudding due to having enough which was a shame as the food was lovely

I went upto the bar and was greeted very rudely by the female bar tender, my other half ordered me the wrong drink so I explained to the lady who said "well you will have to pay for another nothing more I can do" I said I'm happy to pay I am just asking for the flavour I would like. I then paid £4.05 for a j20 and a quarter of lemonade in the glass which I had to mix myself. I then asked for a slice of lime. She picked it up and threw it at my glass. It then landed and splashed. I asked for another slice and it was a very small slice and she said "no not really no". I replied with "oh ok then". I came back later with my other halves drink to get a slice of lime in his and she put it on my clothing instead (my sleeve of my jumper) rather than the glass. She served people who had walked in after me before me and did not even acknowledge me. She then stood there with another member of staff ranting about other staff members and "annoying customers" in the restaurant. The restaurant we were going to eat in and what if I was a particular customer and had found that offensive. I am so upset to be treated like this. I am disappointed that I came in for a simple drink before dinner and I am sitting here seething instead of enjoying my time with my friends. I work in customer service and I always greet people with kindness and I am friendly whichever side of the counter I am on. If you do not take action on this, I will never return and I will make this well known. I am seething beyond belief. Served at 1530pm by a female bar tender short brownish hair 5'6 roughly about 50 yo.

Had a family meal here today booked a table for 4pm for 5 people, we got to our table and ordered our drinks which took 20 minutes to arrive, we ordered 3 main meals and 2 children meals we waited 50 minutes for our main meals to arrive our children were so hungry they were getting anxious TBH so were us adults! Once we complained about how long the meals were taking they then turned up!

The meals are very highly priced for my liking so for the price you expect top quality, the chips that came with our meals were so hard they were uneatable for many of us! For the price they charge I felt the food was terrible.

We have never sat in a restaurant for so long we arrived at 4pm and didn’t leave till 6.15.....2hrs 15 minutes in a restaurant.....ridiculous I would not recommend this place to anyone! Improvements need to be made!

Could anyone tell me the purpose of these reviews if they never respond?

The reason food takes so long is obvious, they don’t employ enough waitresses. It doesn’t matter if the place is full or not, the service is always slow due to them being too tight to employ enough people. Really don’t think I’ll go again, also I always feel a bit like a sardine as we are always packed in tight and have to listen to everyone else talking!!

Got to the beefeater, ordered drinks and food, waited for an eternity, food arrived about 40 mins later before our drinks (which had been forgotten) , food was luke warm, the wife had to wait for her side veg which came out halfway through her meal, was never asked if wanted more drinks, never asked if food was OK, never asked if we wanted to see desserts, asked for bill, got a boy (man at a push) come over with a card reader (with out actual bill) looking a bit miffed when I said sorry no tip today!!

Could anyone tell me the purpose of these reviews if they never respond?

The reason food takes so long is obvious, they don’t employ enough waitresses. It doesn’t matter if the place is full or not, the service is always slow due to them being too tight to employ enough people. Really don’t think I’ll go again, also I always feel a bit like a sardine as we are always packed in tight and have to listen to everyone else talking!!

Once we asked when would it arrive it was then brought out and had obviously been sat for a while as the sauce had a thick skin and 1/2 the chips were cold. The plus side the steak was lovely, however i would not go out of my way to go to another beefeater in the foreseeable future and definitely not this one.

The staff were extremely friendly. The food was not as good as I expected it to be for the price we paid. I had the Rib Eye Steak, it was flavourless. My daughters spare ribs were ok she said. My wife had the gammon, she didn't eat the egg as it was undercooked. But 10/10 for the friendly staff

Christmas day table booked for 1.15 left at 3.30...3 hours to eat a three course meal, sat by a very hot radiator in the corner rather felt forgotten about. Service was not usual standard hardly saw our waitress, food was lovely when it arrived. Drinks took forever actually glad we won a pack of cards in our cracker it gave us something to do. Felt guilty not leaving a tip when they gave up their Christmas to feed us but actually didn't feel the service warranted one we didn't even wait for coffee just wanted to leave. Never had a Christmas meal out before and not sure I would do it again.

went for a nice quiet meal with my family only to be put onto a cornered table, followed by being surrounded by a large family with at least 5 children who completely ruined the experience. non stop shouting and screaming followed by complaints after complaints and mess being thrown all around us and that was just the adults.

can I please suggest a children's section or family area so adults that actually come out for a nice peaceful meal won't have their evening spoilt. missed out pudding due to having enough which was a shame as the food was lovely

I then paid £4.05 for a j20 and a quarter of lemonade in the glass which I had to mix myself. I then asked for a slice of lime. She picked it up and threw it at my glass. It then landed and splashed. I asked for another slice and it was a very small slice and she said "no not really no". I replied with "oh ok then". I came back later with my other halves drink to get a slice of lime in his and she put it on my clothing instead (my sleeve of my jumper) rather than the glass. She served people who had walked in after me before me and did not even acknowledge me. She then stood there with another member of staff ranting about other staff members and "annoying customers" in the restaurant. The restaurant we were going to eat in and what if I was a particular customer and had found that offensive. I am so upset to be treated like this. I am disappointed that I came in for a simple drink before dinner and I am sitting here seething instead of enjoying my time with my friends. I work in customer service and I always greet people with kindness and I am friendly whichever side of the counter I am on. If you do not take action on this, I will never return and I will make this well known. I am seething beyond belief. Served at 1530pm by a female bar tender short brownish hair 5'6 roughly about 50 yo.

Had a family meal here today booked a table for 4pm for 5 people, we got to our table and ordered our drinks which took 20 minutes to arrive, we ordered 3 main meals and 2 children meals we waited 50 minutes for our main meals to arrive our children were so hungry they were getting anxious TBH so were us adults! Once we complained about how long the meals were taking they then turned up!

The meals are very highly priced for my liking so for the price you expect top quality, the chips that came with our meals were so hard they were uneatable for many of us! For the price they charge I felt the food was terrible.

We have never sat in a restaurant for so long we arrived at 4pm and didn’t leave till 6.15.....2hrs 15 minutes in a restaurant.....ridiculous I would not recommend this place to anyone! Improvements need to be made!

Got to the beefeater, ordered drinks and food, waited for an eternity, food arrived about 40 mins later before our drinks (which had been forgotten) , food was luke warm, the wife had to wait for her side veg which came out halfway through her meal, was never asked if wanted more drinks, never asked if food was OK, never asked if we wanted to see desserts, asked for bill, got a boy (man at a push) come over with a card reader (with out actual bill) looking a bit miffed when I said sorry no tip today!!

Could anyone tell me the purpose of these reviews if they never respond?

The reason food takes so long is obvious, they don’t employ enough waitresses. It doesn’t matter if the place is full or not, the service is always slow due to them being too tight to employ enough people. Really don’t think I’ll go again, also I always feel a bit like a sardine as we are always packed in tight and have to listen to everyone else talking!!
