We go regulary,why go to the main big chain places when our local pubs need your business more.The food is always gorgeous and has that home cooked touch to it,your order can sometimes take a little longer but id rather have it that way so you know its been properly prepared and cooked.

Loved the Sunday lunch, plenty of meat, lovely Yorkshire's and excellent service. Great local. Great food �

Always been my stepdads local. Nice to see all the old faces and new! The place has a friendly atmosphere! Great prices! Sunday dinners absolutely lovely and all fresh veg! No frozen Yorkshire puddings! Staff go out there way for you! Deffo the place for us come a Sunday dinner.

Very basic and dated would be fantastic if it was refurbished..the staff very friendly and helpful would stay again if ever in area

Service and meal excellent however baby changing facilities partner had to change baby in car as no facilities in restaurant toilets , tho not sure if any in bar toilets

I have eaten here but not stayed here yet but I will. Where else would one find a single room with en suite, free breakfast, tea making facilities, pet friendly with no extra charge in a nice rural village area for only 30 pounds a night. Some people can just

not be satisfied it seems.

Called in yesterday with some friends for the first time nice little place would definitely call in again .

Well would have expected more as this was very basic and obviously needs a refurb. I was with a group and they had just completed a gruelling 56 miles as part of C2C. There were issues over lack of hot water and general standard of surroundings.

We used this place quite a lot for Sunday lunch but the last couple of times the meat was what you get ready sliced . I'm sure we're not the only ones expect meat from a joint and I took company with me the last time. We were all disappointed .

The staff are really lovely but the rooms need a major overhaul.
