We are looking for an experienced removals driver with a valid UK Driving Licence and at least 2 years experience of driving 3.5T vans to join our small family-run company in Aldershot - Experience is essential as you will occasionally be required to run jobs from start to finish and this will include using web ties to secure loads.
We require an individual who is self-motivated and focussed on providing an outstanding level of customer service. Although there will be times when you will be working to tight deadlines, the main focus MUST BE to take the best possible care of the clients belongings so rushing things is not an option.
Candidates must be polite, courteous and have a can-do attitude. The role will involve heavy lifting and the dismantling and rebuilding of household furniture. You will also be expected to carry out deliveries of boxes and packing materials to clients homes and to help out in our furniture shop/warehouse on occasions.
You must be fluent in English and be confident in dealing with clients throughout the moving process and dealing with any issues that may arise during a move.
You will ideally live within 15-20 minutes of Aldershot and be willing to occasionally carry out jobs with an overnight stay - (accommodation and food costs paid for by the company).
You will be expected to work Monday to Friday each week plus up to two Saturdays per month, any additional Saturdays would be paid as over-time.
Having worked in the industry, you will know that you will need to be flexible with start and finish times as each day brings something different however we tend to deal with smaller property moves so we don't have many very late finishes.
Depending on experience, the successful applicant will receive a starting salary of between £18,500 - £20,000 depending on experience + over-time, 28 days paid holiday and be enrolled onto the company pension scheme.
