Happy Friday (the 13th)!
Last chance to see Daggers Productions debut production Stonecroft! Limited tickets now available.
Set in an abandon cottage in a rural village, a couple seek refuge from the elements for the night. As the evening progresses their relationship is pushed to limits as the past slowly reveals it self and all is not as it seems...............
What scares Rachel???
Bathrooms at night, dripping water, mirrors in bathrooms... anything that involves getting up unexpectedly in the middle of night. I think it stems from that terrifying scene in The Sixth Sense when little Cole has to get up to go to the bathroom in the dead of night and the figure of a woman surreptitiously walks across the hallway. His fear is symbolised so tragically through his vulnerability in that moment and it is one that still haunts me now. I find horror films that are rooted in a typical modern day setting, initially appearing to depict a somewhat normal reality, the most frightening. The feeling that it could happen to you, something that resonates with you and relates to your surroundings are the ones that play on my mind ... preventing me from getting up in the night!
Wave goodbye to the Easter Bunny...

We asked Rory what scares him:
Although this is pretty pathetic an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer caused me more lost nights of sleep than anything else. It's the episode called 'Hush' that contains these creatures, The Gentlemen, that steal your voice. Most of the episode was in silence and I think it's the thought of not being able to seek help that really scares me.

Engulfed in darkness, cold and wet in the wind and rain, a young couple seek refuge in an empty cottage. The building has scars from the past that slowly reveal themselves and all is not as it first appears.......

We have asked our amazing cast what scares them.
“I love a horror movie that plays upon the psychological frailty of the victims. The Shining, The Omen, Vertigo... there’s always the possibility that everything is happening in the broken mind of the protagonist. Or maybe there are ghosts. I enjoy that tension of never really knowing... and the horror of finding out the truth!” Edmund Fargher
