Our main store in Washington, Tyne & Wear has over 12, 500 square feet and been described by customers as an ‘Aladdins Cave’ & ‘A Crafters Paradise’.
Our Partywear department is always fully stocked with virtually everything you need for your special party. Balloons, banners, confetti, blow-outs, tablewear and much more. We stock themed partywear for Hawaiian & Hollywood parties, Childrens parties, Pirates, Princesses and much more.
We stock 1000’s of silk flowers in a variety of designs and shades and as we have our very own instore floral designer and a bespoke make up service, we can create you a beautiful arrangement for your special occasion.
We also have a wonderful craft department with a range second to none. We stock acid-free card and paper ideal for card-making and scrap-booking, embellishments, 3-D decoupage, peel-off stickers, templates, card blanks, aperture cards, embossing powders, stamp pads, templates, punches, scissors, craft knives, paper trimmers, glues, glue guns, glitters, paints, pens, brushes, heat guns, beads, sequins, jewellery making, … and much, much more to make your craft projects extra special! !
We hold regular in-store demonstrations including card-making and crafting. Our staff are experienced crafters, card-makers, cross-stitchers and dressmakers who are available to help and advise, so please contact us if you have any queries regarding your card and craft projects or our craft products.
With weddings more and more popular through the winter months, we pride ourselves on what we have to offer, with a choice second to none and possibly the best selection of fabrics in the North East. We stock a variety of favours in all designs and with the help and knowledge from our experienced staff, we are always at hand to help.
For all dressmakers, we have a fully stocked Haberdashery with everything you could possibly imagine. Laces, cords, zips, trims, ribbons, wools, elastics, braids, threads and much much more, far too much to mention. Furs, felts, and fleeces and with 1000’s of dressmaking patterns to choose from there has to be something for everybody.
Many of our customers visit because of recommendation and are absolutely delighted with the value, choice and most of all the one to one service we pride ourselves on.

Ribbon craft
Went to dainty’s supplies yesterday 16th April 2018 didn’t have a clue what to get to decorate our wedding cake with!!! We needn’t have worried tho as the woman who works in the flower department could not have been any more helpful honestly she went far and beyond to make sure we got exactly what we wanted she even put flowers into our chosen blocks cut glued them put the little diamonds in the petals everything so when the cakes arrive we can assemble them with no hassle at all�
My favorite shop, I come here atleast once a week and having been shopping here for years. I have never had any issues. The staff are alwaysbfriendly and i always find what im lookong for. I often go though just to see if there is anything new!
Love this place. I went today for supplies for my care homes open day on Saturday and as it was for the home they gave me 10% discount. Staff were lovely and friendly. Will definitely be going back for all of our events at the home �

I just wish I didn't live 350 miles away. We can only dream down south of having such a great shop. Every possible craft and hobby covered. Not to mention family occasions. Look forward to seeing my son soon. Ha ha ...worth the drive!!!!

I can't fault Dainty Supplies Ltd, they went above and beyond to get the fabric I needed as I couldn't get it anywhere else and I've now been able to finish the cushion covers I was making for a friend in Skegness. They even phoned to let me know it was back in stock, thank you Dainty Supplies Ltd

Best craft shop in the county ..
The manager here is so rude, is only interested in making money, regardless of customer satisfaction. Such a shame, she brings the place down!
Disgusting service from the manager of the store - accusing me of lying about them forgetting to put and item worth £1.70 in the bag. To then go on to not provide bags for balloons as requested. Get to the venue and the balloons have no weights on them, I call up and ask about this to get told you have to ask for weights. After spending £100 in the store over 2 days and spending money most events I put on I will never go into the store again and I will make sure all of my family and friends are aware of this too!!! The manager is vile, although other staff were lovely and very helpful!
Went on the 2nd March bought a few items to find a roll of ribbon had not been put in the bag went back today 6th March and spoke to the lady who originally served me on the 2nd who got the receipt (there copy) and then found out I wasn't charged for the ribbon so my mistake but then found out she had charged me for a bag of plaster which I asked to put back, I asked to speak to the manager who conveniently wasn't there and was told to ring back tomorrow, I mentioned the cctv overlooking the till area but they refused to do anything, while I was there I bought two peices of ribbon for 99p and 45p to be actually charged £1.45 yes it's only 1p over but after charging me for something last week I didn't even buy I told the woman to make a point, I then left the shop and got into my car to then have 1 minute later the lady come to my car open the door and throw 1p at me, absolutely disgusting customer service keep my £2 you charged my card for last week for something I didn't even buy hope it boosts your profits more won't step a foot back in that overpriced shop again
I use Dainty's a lot. They stock a lot of materials that I require for my business and I tend to visit weekly. I do however have to say I am so disappointed with the service. Unhappy, unhelpful and sometimes rude staff. Never a smile, never a "can I help you?". I understand you are busy at times, but your customers are the most important part of your day - make them feel welcome.
I recommend that u stop following your customers around its absolutely shocking!! I understand there are theives but we were followed by 5 members of staff into every nook and cranny! Put us off spending any money at all in you shop and taking our money elsewhere! We were looking at 99p flowers no the Crown Jewels but again a staff member peering over my shoulders!
Then the way out one final check we haven’t stole anything by a comment
“Couldn’t find anything ladies? What a shame”
