We popped in today after visiting the opening day of Dogstore across the road and was happy that you allowed dogs in as well. The place was very pleasant and there was a water bowl for Magik by the table. We ordered some hummus and sandwiches and when they arrived they were huge and like doorsteps ....real proper sandwiches. All the food was delicious and Magik was happy too as he was made a fuss of and given a yummy biscuit bone to munch on. Thank you so much...we will definitely be in there again x

Visited here today, my 2 year old son only wanted a cheese sandwich, even though this wasn’t on the menu they made him one. The carrot cake and coffee was equally yummy.

The staff were helpful, polite and chatty. Will certainly visit again

The family and I visited Canterbury this weekend, there’s so many lovely places but we are so glad we chose to dine in deakins. The staff were so lovely and friendly, the food was amazing and we all were so happy to have dined there - all 14 of us! Thanks so much to all the staff, we will definitely be back!

I just went into Deakins to get some coffee beans for my grandparents and they didn't have ground beans but they were kind enough to do it for me to do it anyway. Amazing staff! I'll come again soon for some coffee to drink :)

I had the Cauliflower and Chickpea curry in Deakins as we were passing through on our way to Margate 10 days ago - it was amazing - absolutely delicious and beautifully presented with a sliver of fresh coconut on top - rice good too! Can’t get it out of my head - may have to return even though I am a 2 hour drive away!

Had a lovely meal and staff were very pleasant and quick with our service ,only complaint was the cups were dirty and the waitress noticed as soon as she put them on the table ,she quickly changed them and was very appologetic

Fabulous tasty food & friendly staff nothing was too much trouble even taking the heads off my tiger prawns which were huge

Was awful had to wait an hour between taking orders and getting food. When food arrived it was burnt. Waiter clearly didn't know what was available as one person had to change menu twice as choice was no longer available. Chocolate cake was all mashed up. The bill was all wrong. Not a good experience won't be going again!

Pimms was beautiful and the hummus delicious however I cannot review any more than that as we had to cancel the rest due to the length of time it all took. The service was inconsistent and all staff members had different messages/stories about what was happening! I will never go again

Awful! Such a shame it changed hands! Ordered two g&t’s came out with the wrong garnish and one tonic which was also wrong!!

Was going to order food but thought if you can’t get a simple drink right then god knows what the food would be like!!!

Joke of it all tried to put a service charge on the bill when we had to make our own drinks with the garnish brought up in a separate glass... also no word of a sorry just a huffy waiter when we pointed out all the mistakes!!



Total crap avoid better places in Canterbury.
