Don't forget - this Sunday is Bird of Prey Day at Deen City Farm. Flying displays at 12:30 and 3:00 and a chance to meet the birds in between. We're expecting a Barn Owl, Tawny Owl, Bengal Eagle Owl and Harris Hawk plus others! All free!

We went to see santa, well worth £3.50. They got farm animals colouring book and pencil...plus if you asked the elf to get santa to talk about what they wrote in letter he does...was magical for my nephew who's 4 but my 2 year old told him to go away which he then started to sing happy birthday. For a free farm relying on donations and sponsors well worth it!

We have been going to the farm for many yrs now. Jaimee our daughter horse rides, & our youngest loves to play around the gardens & talks to the turkeys :-). We love the farm cats and the volunteers have a verg busy day every day come rain or shine. We always visit in the winter months as its really empty. We have seen baby pigs/baby goats and even baby lambs! Our favorite are the pony rides (yes you have to pay) but the children love it and the horses are all well behaved. Visit/donate & lets keep them here for us to enjoy. Xx

User

Such a great free place to visit - Car Parking cheap and lots of parking. My children had a great time and loved seeing the animals. Workers / staff so informative and friendly - Will def be back again soon

User

Second time we came here. As always, great value for money and lots to do for the little ones! Also you can fit it into an already busy day as it's so small you can do it all in 2hrs :)

Great way to spend a Saturday or Sunday morning or afternoon, especially if you can't afford to go somewhere expensive! Recommended donation is £2 and pony ride is only £2 :)

User

My son loved it. The staff are lovely and the place, charming.

User

My daughter loves this place it's great to spend time with your family

My daughter celebrated her 7th birthday party at Deen City Farm on Sunday afternoon. What a wonderful venue! The children loved the animal encounters and the volunteers at the farm were so patient and nice. The kids were also able to feed the animals - what a treat! We played pass the parcel and broke a pinata in the classroom, which we were able to decorate in my daughter's favourite theme: Pokemon! Thank you to all of the volunteers and workers who helped to make the party a success. We will be back to spend more time on the farm. 5 stars!!! xx

User

Love this little place it really is a gem of a place in the middle of London. My little boy absolutely adores it here. Please make sure to donate as we need to keep places around for all to enjoy

User

It was simply an amazing experience, that to absolutely free. My daughter had loads of fun as it was her first farm experience and it could not have been better..

I can understand how difficult it is to run something on donations.. i think the farm is well maintained n the animals are happy 😊

User

I took my two kids and went with some of our friends.... we really enjoyed there.... for being free it's really good.... we had food in the cafe and it was very good... the kids enjoyed playing in the outdoor play area and watching feeding and cuddling the animals...

All in all a great place to spend a few hours locally....

Hi all

Was looking on Facebook to find the farm. I was pleasantly surprised to see what the farm has achieved over the past forty plus years. Wow!!

As a school leaver in 1980 I was sent to a small place in mitcham on a "youth opportunity scheme" to work on a city farm. This was my 1st step on the road to my adulthood, and may I say one of the Best years of my life. You have all done so much in all the years since.

I live in near the countryside now and my children are adults with children of their own but the visits to Deen city farm are still spoken about with fond memories.

Good luck in the years to come long may it last.

Hadn't been here in a while and the improvements were very obvious. It was always and had potential but now it's positively blooming. The farm and animals looked lovely, happy and healthy. The cafe is clean, well stocked and reasonable. The play area is in very good condition. All in all it's s wonderful place to bring kids. Remember to make a donation though as they rely solely on these to keep the place going. You can do it via text if you don't have cash. No excuses! 😊

User

Great little farm to take the kids for a cheap day out. Can feed the animals for 50p plus there is a little play area where the kids can play while the grown ups enjoys a tea or coffee. The cafe is had really good prices for food, drinks ice creams. Also there a little gift shop to buy bits to remember the fun day at the farm. Highly recommended for families with young children. We have been going to farm for a while now and will continue going xx

User

My six year old niece loved it. Animals were well looked after. My only moan would be the cafe states no food of your own to be eaten inside but the four tables I wanted to sit at were all taken with people eating their own picnics hence we left and went elsewhere to eat, so the farm lost out on money.

User

Lovely Farmyard, Hospitality could’ve been a tad better!

User

It's good but the riding school looks poor. I am a horse owner and at least 2 of the horses were lame and looked in pain if I'm honest when I watched a lesson . It's very sweet on the farm for toddlers but I think retiring some of the old ponies may be a good idea !

User

Brilliant free day out, staff were great, animals were great my only criticism would be that it would be nice if queues were better organised - seemed to be a lot of fed up inconsiderate parents (particularly in the pony ride queue) sending kids into the queue all over the place upsetting smaller children like mine that had stood for half an hour patiently waiting. The same happened when we were petting baby goats. Other than that we were very impressed

User

Too my granddaughter here and after waiting 20 minutes for the pony ride which she really excited about another queue appeared from a different spot. Obviously a kids party! So ended up having to wait even longer then to top it off the ride lasted for all of 60 seconds. Very disappointing.

User

Me and my partner took our 2 year old son, and although the animals were nice to see, it didn't take long at all. So Feeling hungry decided to go in the cafe. The worst bit about the visit was the café!! We went in for a bite of lunch and waited 45 minutes for a sandwich and 2 paninis. While in the queue, I had to point out to the guy serving that he had over charged a foreign lady in front of me by £3. He almost seemed like he wasn't going to rectify it until I told him. When I asked for our baguettes someone shouted over saying none were left so we chose paninis for us and my 2 year old son a sandwich, they guy asked if we wanted white or Brown so I asked for white, then some lady making the sandwiches shouted saying they were low on white so we would get what we get. It was so rude. 45 minutes we waited and I had to ask 4 times, when we finally got it my son was so hungry and crying but the sandwich we got was multi grain and he wouldn't eat it. We finally got our paninis and they were absolutely awful, just looked thrown on a plate and rolled over by a truck. I asked a 5th time for my carrot cake for which the lady said it wasn't written on our order.. Why didn't she check the first time I asked, I had paid for it and the guy taking the order did admit that we had ordered it, so after an hour of asking I finally got my cake. The room was filthy and food and plates everywhere. There is no excuse acceptable for this poor behaviour. Would never go back and urge people who visit to take a pack lunch as there is absolutely no organisation or customer skill in the cafe.
