For the second year running the Damsels in Defence have donned their Pink and taken part in the 5km Pretty Muddy event in Lydiard Park, Swindon to raise funds for Cancer research along with thousands of other like minded ladies.
All dressed in pink, with their team names on the back of their vests (thank you Jan), they set off in good spirits to tackle the 5km muddy obstacle course on a beautiful sunny morning. Lots of fun was had by all, space hoppers, ‘A’ Frames and Mud ...tunnels with the usual finale - a large inflatable slide ending in a rather deep pool of mud! They completed the course in just under an hour, but the team stuck together from start to finish. Finishing covered in mud , they all had a fantastic time and all had smiles on our faces.
Lieutenant Colonel Liz Nelson, Technology School, Defence Academy said "This is our second year supporting this wonderful event. It has been great to be able to join in with the community to support a cause that is very close to the hearts of many people."
A fantastic effort by the ladies raising over £1700 for this amazing and worthy charity. They would like to thank all their colleagues and Defence Academy friends for sponsoring them along the way. Thank you everyone for your support

Returning home with 7 Gold medals, 3 Silver medals and 2 Bronze medals, this year’s American-Canadian Judo Challenge (AMCAN) Judo Tour, held in Buffalo, New York (NY) was a huge success for Army Judo Squad, led by WO2 Lee Brown from Defence Engagement School. WO2 Lee Brown, himself winning a gold medal took a squad of 12 to the American-Canadian Judo Challenge competition (AMCAN) in Buffalo, NY. Each medal accrued a score which when combined, resulted in the Team winning not only Best International Trophy but also Best Team Trophy in the competition. Following on from the AMCAN Judo Tour, Lee travelled to Le Harve in France, representing the Army as an individual to participate in the 4th Viking Masters, picking up Silver Medal.

RAF 100 - Commemorate. Celebrate. Inspire.
The RAF 100 Baton Relay passed through the Armed Forces’ Chaplaincy Centre, Amport House recently; purposely coinciding with an RAF Air Cadets (RAFAC) weekend. This short course, about personal awareness and self-development, is for the top RAFACs from across the UK. During the Baton visit the Cadets were reminded of the history of the RAF (and the centenary of the Chaplains’ Branch!), they were invited to formal events and there was ample opportunity for them to discuss their career aspirations with the motocross team made up of various ranks, trades and Branches of the RAF. It was a real opportunity to commemorate, celebrate and inspire. #RAF100

As part of its journey to Horseguards Parade, RAF 100 Baton arrived at Defence Academy of the UK on Friday 6th April.
The relay began on 1st April 2018 at the Royal Courts of Justice and will complete its journey on 10th July. The baton which was specially designed will visit 100 sites associated with the RAF, around the UK and abroad to mark one hundred years since the formation.

This is my first experience at the defence academy and enjoying with 24 students of 20 countries in MDWSC 12 at Beckett house. All Directing staffs are well qualified and experienced on the subjects. Learning lots on Defence Management. Nice stay in UK.

I have make my elition but not my feet in slam.

I enjoyed it. I think is the best Academy o the world.

Good accomodation, officer mess with hospitality, excellent environment for learning and it is very nice place.

Free project management (APM) course ...love it.

Excellent course and first rate lecturers. Very interesting & informative.

Everythings is fresh here i would love to stay with the people coming from many countries.

Brilliant night at music and fireworks another excellent event thank you

I have attended 2 different courses and have enjoyed both and the trainers have been very knowledgeable and the newer accommodation is ok but the older ones Ned brought up to standard

Good value for money and we'll organised as would be expected in a military environment.

This is my first experience at the defence academy and enjoying with 24 students of 20 countries in MDWSC 12 at Beckett house. All Directing staffs are well qualified and experienced on the subjects. Learning lots on Defence Management. Nice stay in UK.
