Before and after Charlie the Border Collie. Today was Charlie’s first visit to the salon and being quite a anxious boy he done amazingly. Well done Charlie!

Before and after Dobby the 18 month old Cocker Spaniel.
Today was Dobby’s first time at a groomers and he was such a good boy.

Would never of guessed this little fella is as old as he is.
Bruno the 12 year old Parsons Terrier.
He’s absolutely ball crazy and still chases them round like a 12 month old puppy!

Before and after Dudley the 6 month old labradoodle. First time here at Designs For Canines and what a little star he was.

Marco the Cane Corso.
The Cane Corso is breed that isn’t seen or heard of much any more. They might look a bit scary to some but believe me he’s such a gentle giant.... all 65kg (10 stone) of him AND he’s only 11 months old and still got some growing to do!!!
... I stand at 5’10 and as you can see he can quite easily stand up and take a toy from my mouth.
Cane Corso’s originate from Italy but Marco was born and breed in Romania (the laws differ to ours over here which is why he is able to have cropped ears and docked tail). They were originally used as personal protection, tracking, law enforcement and guarding and you can certainly see why by the size of him.
Today was Marco’s first visit to Designs For Canines and was an absolute pleasure to have him. Good boy Marco!

This afternoon I had to say a heartbreaking farewell to Drummer. He become poorly earlier this week and deteriorated very fast.

Please if you no longer require an appointment you have booked let me know with as much notice as possible.
Unfortunately I’ve have had a lot of clients this week not showing up or cancelling last minute meaning others are missing out, having to wait longer to get an appointment and I am loosing money!
As much as I hate to do it in order for me to be able to continue any missed appointments and any appointments with less than 48hours notice of cancellation will be charged a...t the full cost of your groom. This payment will need to be paid in full before any future appointments can be made.
I don’t want to have to start taking deposits but if it continues it might be some thing I have to think about putting into place.
Hope you can understand why I am having to take this action.

How great is this! Although I’m not “officially” back to work tomorrow I am at the salon today sorting some bits out and grooming a extra special girl who is poorly and therefore needs my extra time, care and attention
I was so excited to come in and use my new mug for the first time! (i know simple things please simple minds 🤪) it made me laugh so much when I opened it 😂 thank you Buddy and Luna 🐾💙

Would like to wish all my wonder clients a Happy New Year! Hope you have had a well deserved rest and fun over the holidays.
Thank you for all my lovely gifts. I’ve now got to work even harder at the gym to burn all the chocolate off! Wine doesn’t count does it as its juice from a fruit right?! 🤷🏻‍♀️ 😜

Christmas is going to be rather rubbish this year as will the ones to come but please raise a glass and hold my Mum and Bambi in your thoughts.

All the money raised will go towards helping the teams at Sobell House continue providing much needed help and care to patients and their loved ones through the most difficult times.

Apologies I haven’t posted any Christmas portraits for the last few days been crazy bust as always on the lead up to Christmas. Again I’ve struggled to get some of the wriggly super excited pups

We also had Winnie and Wilfred the Crazy Cockers Wiggly Willow the Mini Schnauzer Loopy Lofty the Yorkshire Terrier Excitable Elliott the West Highland White Terrier Looney Luna the Cockerpoo Last but not least The not so quiet Quincey the Tibetan Terrier (he was doing his version of singing Christmas carols through the groom 🙉😂)
Unfortunately these guys were just too excited to go and show off their now hair doo’s to sit still 🙈🤣
