About Dignity Pet Crematorium

Award winning specialist individual pet crematorium serving London, Hampshire & the South. Run by pet lovers for pet lovers.

Dignity Pet Crematorium Description

Dignity Pet Crematorium was started in 1992 by Barry & Carole Spurgeon. Our aim is to make the passing of a much loved pet easier to cope with through our caring and respectful individual pet cremation service. We are very different to the weekly pet cremation services often offered through veterinary surgeries and try to give each pet the send off that they deserve.

Yesterday we lost are wonderful gentle soul blue. We are so greatful that dignity could get us in when traffic made us over an hour late they went above and beyond to help us give blue the send off he so rightly deserved. I can't described the pain of losing my blue boy and the emptiness he has left behind but to have him home the same day have given me some comfort. I felt relaxed as could be at this difficult time and new blue was in loving hands, They handled him with respect and showed him kindness all the way through and for this we will always be greatful thank you once more blue's mum and dad (Nicola and Matthew cowlard)

We have just returned from Dignity with our precious bull terrier Buster. What a wonderful service you provide, we are so glad our vets gave us your details. From the moment we phoned you with our sad news you treated us with such kindness & compassion. You collected my beautiful boy & looked after him as if he were your own until we arrived this morning. Buster was able to have the service he so deserved. We were given time to hug, kiss & shed many, many tears with our boy. Thank you so much for shaving his little white heart shaped patch of fur from his neck for us to keep & the paw print. It was the perfect setting & to be able to follow Buster up to the kiln, enjoying the sunshine on his fur, which he would have loved. It felt private & very intimate being able to be there to watch him go. Spending time walking & sitting in the grounds reading all the wonderful memorials gave us a sense of calm & peace before we collected our boy ready to take home once more. Thank you so much for making a very difficult day a little easier for us.

They were so wonderful when we lost our gorgeous boy Diesel on 21 June 2013 the worst day of my life, thank you dignity for crossing our boy over with dignity. God bless you xxx

These wonderful people were recommended to me when I first lost my little cat Molly; 10 years ago. The most beautiful place to bring your pet for the last time. The gardens are just stunning. I brought my little girl home in the most beautiful hand crafted cat casket; to other people it’s just a wooden cat; for me my it’s my special girl. I recently needed to use them again for another special girl; our cat Honey; we too brought her home in the most beautiful heart with paw prints; she sits along side Molly. This place is just amazing and I can’t thank the staff enough for their professionalism and support through this sad time. Thank you xx

Thank you for taking such good care of our beloved Neo, from coming into our home after he had passed away, you didn't rush us to say goodbye, you gave us time which meant a lot to us. Today we collected his ashes and we are glad we choose you, but really wish we hadn't have needed to. He has left a big whole in my heart, and gave me such love, loyalty and gratitude over the past 14 years. This perfect send off was what our boy deserved.

Thank you.

Sadly we lost our JRT Bobby last week. Our vet recommended Dignity Pet Crematorium and arranged for them to collect our beloved dog. A lovely lady called me the next day to arrange the cremation etc, she was so helpful and sympathetic, which meat a lot to me. From start to finish everything about Dignity made me feel at ease...A truly wonderful company - Thank you all so much! Bobby is now back home in his lovely little urn, which had made our loss just a little easier <3

Sadly we had cause to use Dignity Pet Crematorium yesterday as our beloved dog George lost his long and courageous battle with cancer at the weekend. Having used Dignity twice in the past there was no doubt that we would be entrusting George into their care. From the moment they answered the phone, talked us through everything, until the time they waved us goodbye they have showed us nothing but respect, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping us through this heartbreaking time. Everyone deals with the immediate loss of a pet differently but there was no way I could bring myself to leave my baby at the vets that night to await collection from an unknown cremation service and I think if more people were aware that there is another option like Dignity then more people would be comforted and relieved at this devastating time. We've always tried to give George the best life we could throughout the almost 14 years we were blessed with him in our lives. From the moment he burst into our lives as a playful puppy we guided him through life's trials and tribulations, then in his twilight years we nursed him through his cancer diagnosis, so giving him a proper funeral was paramount for us. It was not only dignified for him, but is allowing us to grieve properly. It is a service that we wished we never had to use, but glad it is provided by such an amazing team, especially Laura. The beautiful and tranquil surroundings allowed us to say goodbye to George with privacy & dignity. Hopefully we will need to use this service again for many years but when we do we know Dignity Pet Crematorium will be there for us. Thank you. xxx

Sadly I have had to ask Dignity to look after two of my cats in the last couple of months - they are excellent and I know that my girls were treated with respect. I have used them a lot over the years and they level of support has never changed Thank you all x

My family have used dignity for years for all our pets and have done such a good job in such a respectful way. I had my cat put down 2 days ago and dignity have gone out of their way to reassure me about everything as I have never done this before but dignity make me feel rested. Thank you dignity for giving my Charlie the respect he deserves.

June 30th was an extremely sad day for us as a family, our family dog, Roly Poly, passed on, to say we were all devastated and heartbroken, was an understatement. We went the whole weekend utterly stunned and in deep mourning, Roly would have been 16 on August 15th 2018, she brought great joy and happiness to us from the day she entered our lives in 2002. She has left us some wonderful memories.

Our last memory of course was picking up her ashes from Dignity, I cannot thank Dignity enough for all their help, kindness and understanding from the minute I contacted them and until the moment we collected Roly. We would like to thank Dignity from the bottom of our hearts."

Judith made an awful experience a lovely one, we had to use your services for one of our lovely cat's Simba a few weeks back and the service from the first phone call to the collection of Simba was lovely. Thank you so much Judith and all at Dignity

It’s awful to have need of this company’s services but I can not recommend them high enough.

We handed out beloved Holly into their care , our very much adored cocker spaniel, following a short battle with cancer. Originally we were going to let our lovely vets deal with everything but having used dignity before it just didn’t sit right with me ,so I struggled with that decision for 24 hours before I changed all the plans and arranged to take her to dignity. I’m so glad that I did, we were able to take her favourite toys and stolen sock from each family member along with photos of her favourite Aunty and a letter, all of which went with her.

By using their same day service and bringing her home where she belongs , I again have the peace of mind, that she’s home and safe.

I hope that I won’t have to use their services again for many years but I know I will be back to hand my fur babies into their kind and compassionate care.

Thank you everyone at dignity

I wanted to get a ring made with my Pets ashes set into it. It's still very early stages and given the circumstances in which my pet passed it was very traumatic and I really couldn't bare the thought of sending even the smallest amount of my beloved pets ashes off in the post, or trusting someone else to treat them with respect, actually use his ashes or not waste some of them. I went online to this companies website and used their chat to talk through the process. They were patient, understanding and answered all my questions I had. Allowing my to go away and make an informed choice. They even said I could come and deliver the ashes and watch the process to reassure me. Very supportive. Would recommend anytime.

I used dignity for my two goats last year on two different occasions, both times they were amazing, so respectful and patient. I highly recommend them, ashes were brought back down to me with no issues. Thanks for being so caring, would have wrote this sooner but only just come across your page

Had my little ferret Nova cremated today at Dignity and they were absolutely wonderful. Everything was how I wanted it and more. I chose an attended service so got to stay with him right up until he went into the chamber, I even got to see the chamber before he went in and it was spotless so each cremation is individual and special.

I will definitely be using Dignity again when I need them and would recommend them to anyone who requires their services.

Following the loss of our beloved cat buster I couldn't have wished for a more beautiful place to end his journey. From their first words "what's the little guys name" to their last "take care of yourself" our whole experience was one of genuine and unwavering compassion and humanity. We will always be grateful for their warmth and professionalism during such a sad time. Our “Busty" would have most definitely approved!.

Firstly let us thank you so much for your kindness, love and respect that you show our beloved dog Lola xxxxx we have had such a bad time coming to terms with our 11 1/2 year old bullmastiff not being around our now empty house xx Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the kind gentle staff from when they picked up Lola they kept us informed at all times when they arrived to crem with her to her cremation . A very special thank you to Kevin Spurgeon and the team at Dignity for their kind words and compassion when my beautiful border collie, Hamish, passed away on Friday 5th May 2018.

From the initial phone call, to the home visit when Kevin arrived and talked through our requirements, asking if we would like to include a special toy with Hamish on his final journey along with a letter, and waiting until we were ready to say our final heartbreaking goodbyes, and then our visit to collect Hamish and bring him home a few days later, the sensitivity and kindness with which we were treated were gratefully appreciated.

A very lovely bunch of caring people who want nothing but the best care for your beloved pets.

I’ve met some of the team before during talks at the vets I’ve worked in.

I’ve seen the care they give when collecting animals from the vets,

And sadly I’ve now experienced their service first hand following the death of our family dog Kyra.

These guys are the best around without a doubt!
