Diversity Yoga is for those bodies that are on the journey of discovery that is life: Bodies that get used to their maximum in sport or physical activity, bodies that have not always been appreciated and treated with kindness and compassion through dealing with stress, emotional challenges and unhealthy dietary choices. Diversity Yoga is for the bodies that make our daily lives happen!

Monday mindfulness: What was yesterday is no longer the same today, and tomorrow will be different too. Clinging on to things that are guaranteed to change can be exhausting and stressful. Letting them go once they have served us today, allows tomorrow to bring it’s own - fresh and new. My theme for October is letting go and making space. It’s a seasonal theme, helping us to become more introspective and aware as nature settles into autumn 🍂 As nature let’s go of what has se...rved it’s purpose (leave fall, vines whither, flowers die and unpicked fruit decay) we have a chance to do the same. Mindful Monday: We all cling on to stuff, feelings, baggage, habits and people that don’t serve us anymore. Like autumn leaves, their job is done. Holding on too long involves us in the natural process of decay. We start to die alongside the things we don’t need anymore, clinging on instead of letting go to allow room for fresh growth, which will always come in the spring. This is why trees shed their leaves 🍁 in 🍂 autumn, when all the nourishment has been taken and the time ...of rest has come. What will happen if you just let go? What a fabulous yoga retreat with Cathy trying 3 different types of yoga in one day. A great retreat for beginners and experienced yogis alike. Peaceful relaxing and invigorating. The food was amazing too- loved the homemade polenta cake! Thank you so much Cathy x

Thoroughly enjoyed a Yoga Retreat with Cathy today, which included the wonderful yin yoga and yoga Nidra. Cathy is a great teacher, she is very intuitive in the way she works. She takes time to ensure everyone gains what they need from the session, through the individual attention she gives each person. Have come away feeling taller, very calm and nicely stretched and balanced- thank you Cathy x

I would highly recommended Diversity Yoga’s classes and courses. Cathy is an excellent and friendly yoga instructor who creates a beautiful atmosphere of calm with every yoga class. She provides clear instruction and takes the time to understand why each person is attending yoga and if they have any pains, injuries or niggles that need to be taken into account. This way she knows to customise or adjust poses for individuals to mitigate any issues they have. Her knowledge of the various muscles groups in the body means you also get to learn a lot about how yoga helps you become stronger and more flexible, while relieving tension. The whole experience leaves you feeling wonderfully relaxed yet energised! Thanks Cathy! ��

I went to Cathy's 1 day yoga retreat. Having not done yoga for a while it was lovely to be able to take the time to do things properly and not rush. It was a great mix of challenge and relaxation. She had chosen a beautiful location and the lunch was delicious. I'd recommend this day to anyone, even if you are new to yoga as you can go at your own pace.

I was a complete beginner to yoga when I tried one of Cathy's classes and WOW!!! I am now a completely converted yogi, what an incredible class for your mind and body. I cannot recommend Cathy and Diversity Yoga highly enough, I am so sad that I'm moving away and won't be able to attend classes regularly :( I don't usually particularly like the gym and 'normal' exercise classes but this was AMAZING and I still felt it the next day so it obviously works your body! Thank you Cathy :) x

I spent a most enjoyable Sunday afternoon with Cathy at Diversity Yoga learning how to relax and hopefully sleep better - in fact, I fell asleep during the lesson. (I was allowed at that point). It was thoroughly relaxing and very nice spending time with like minded people. Also had a wonderful foot massage from Victoria Page who taught about Essential Oils. Cathy is a brilliant teacher taking care of each every one of us there. I loved it and would definitely recommend it and will be attending the next one.

I joined Cathy for the November 'Yoga for deep relaxation', 4 sessions of relaxation classes. I could write an essay on how amazing they were. What really stood out was the reaction from my husband, who said that he saw the stresses fall away and although the work and family commitments didn't change he could see they weren't getting to me so deeply. Incredible what yoga can do for the body and the mind. I would not hesitate to recommend Cathy to anyone and look forward to working more with her in the New Year! Thank you Cathy, you are an angel!

After years of struggling with sore shoulders and a painful neck I decided to try some 1:1 yoga sessions with Cathy. What a difference! I have gone from being in pain to a bit of an ache. Better than that I have some strategies I can use myself and a better understanding. Thanks Cathy!!
