Introducing our dentists: Dr Yohan Zagzag
Yohan was born and raised in Paris, France. He gained his degree from the prestigious Garancière Dental University in Paris, famous for producing dentists of high calibre. He has trained in all aspects of general dentistry, particularly crowns and bridge work, periodontics treatment (care of gums and supporting structures of teeth) and cosmetic dentistry. Yohan is very precise, caring and calm. He creates treatment plans for his patie...nts focusing on their oral health needs, making sure they are pain free and happy with the results cosmetically. Yohan’s attention to detail and love for his work shine through in everything he does. Yohan recently moved to Reigate with his wife and two young children. They are delighted to return to Surrey as his wife spent many years living in Sanderstead. He enjoys cycling, photography and travelling.

Introducing our dentists: Dr Dipesh Patel
Dipesh grew up locally and attended Whitgift School before beginning his career as a dentist. He qualified from King’s College London in 2007 and then worked as a Senior House Office at Royal Surrey and Cardiff University Hospitals, specialising in oral surgery and restorative dentistry. Dipesh has a passion for learning about the latest developments in aesthetic and restorative dentistry. He has completed the Dental Implant Diploma w...ith the Royal College of Surgeons and is experienced in placing implants as well as providing a range of aesthetic treatments such as whitening, veneers, cosmetic fillings, and short term braces to straighten teeth. Outside of work, Dipesh spends most of his time with his wife and two young daughters. He enjoys food and traveling and stays fit by playing football and squash.

Introducing our dentists: Dr. Neggin Heidari-Robinson
Neggin grew up in Surrey and attended Croydon High School. She qualified from Kings College London in 2001 and subsequently worked as a senior house officer in Paediatric and Maxillofacial Surgery in King’s College and Kent and Canterbury Hospitals. Neggin has completed the Royal College of Surgeons’ course in implant dentistry and, for six years, taught students at Kings and Guys in oral surgery. She has also published wo...rk on the interpretation of X-rays in the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Neggin has experience in all aspects of general surgery, with a special interest in implants and endodontics (root canals). She has run her own practice, Pipers in Oxted, since 2012. For Neggin, the three most important things are: meticulous attention to quality, a gentle and caring environment for patients, and good value for money. Outside of work, she enjoys skiing and travel.

With all the reports in the press about lions and dentists at the moment I thought I'd post this. This is a picture from Matthew Oxford, vet dentist in the New forest carrying out root canal therapy on a lion's fractured tooth. It's not something we can do at Dorking Dental Centre but we love lions and all animals, except maybe wasps!

A lovely email from a patient which came in this morning. "Just want to let Christian know - my new teeth are absolutely brilliant. I know he was a bit worried because I was quite apprehensive about having those last two implants because not having had any teeth there for a really long time I thought I might really struggle - but do you know what - no problem at all - they don't feel uncomfortable - they are not catching the inside of my cheeks, I've had absolutely no discomfort at all today, played 9 holes of golf this afternoon and cooked a fillet steak, saute potatoes, baked avocado and garlic mushrooms and have downed a very nice bottle of the red stuff."

Every so often we receive a lovely surprise and today's post brought just that. A simple thank you is always appreciated but this patient has gone above and beyond. Thank you.
