~ Yesterday we finally got the key for our new pub! After four or so months of waiting we were finally able to get inside, take it all in and begin the big clean up! We'd like to thank everyone for all of the kind support and well wishes we've recieved, we are all so excited! Keep your eyes peeled in Etchinghill as The Gatekeeper is on its way! ~

~ A Day At The Races! ~ Wednesday 11th March ~ 7.30pm ~
Join us for our extra special 'Day at the Races' to help raise funds for the Barham village shop! Tickets for the evening are £25, £5 of which goes straight to the shop fund, and included in the price of your ticket you'll be getting a delicious picnic 'hamper' full of chefs homemade goodies and half a bottle of prosecco each. Our updated events board after the amazing beer festival weekend! Coming up in the next few months we have two family fun days with BBQs, a range of real ales and ciders, free live music and bouncy castles! Two of our famous quiz nights, and every Wednesday we are providing a kids club for £5 per child with a different theme each week, starting tomorrow with a teddy bears picnic!

We're looking for new kitchen staff here and at the jackdaw, give us a ring or drop in your CV!!!

We now have some new additions to the Duke's garden, Chickens - Caddy, Roady, Honey and Stell and Ducks- Tiddly and Pom!

Visited the beer festival yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the bands and beer �

Only had a drink in the garden but saw food and it looked lovely. .

Had a meal and a few drinks Friday night. Busy but great service and lovely staff � very reasonable prices compared to a night out in Canterbury. Will definitely be back soon �
