A Japanese gem in this week with a Nissan Cube with some throttle issues. No power and no response, no movement on the throttle body at all. It had been suggested that a throttle body was needed but thorough testing of the system using manufacturer wiring diagrams led us to a different answer. A reversed polarity jump start was the cause here, blowing a relay internally in the under bonnet fuse box and also burning a track in the ECU. With our rework tools we were able to rectify both of these issues without replacing any parts (apart from a board mounted relay!) and saving the customer £100s! #DunsfoldDiagnostics #TestNotGuess #Nissan #Cube #KeiCar #P1122

A non running Ford Ranger in with us this week with a suspected injector/pump failure following an engine replacement. With the use of main dealer diagnostic tooling and wiring information we were quickly able to diagnose a short circuit issue which would generally be a wiring fault, especially given the recent engine swap. But further testing led us to a single bent pin at the engine ECU! Not one you see every day! A software calibration update was then carried out for good measure, to prevent further issues using our genuine Ford dealer diagnostic tooling. It seems to be pickup season here at Dunsfold Diagnostics with another Navarra crossing our path! This one with a temperature management fault despite having various sensors changed! This is where dealer wiring and parts information is invaluable despite the initial outlay! The correct issue was quickly identified and repaired with the resulting blocked DPF cleaned back to original spec. Another busy week here at Dunsfold, starting with this one. A low mileage, low usage Corsa which was constantly failing regenerations. The filter on this was significantly blocked despite a number of forced regenerations by other garages. We quickly diagnosed a fault in the emisiions management system despite there being no fault codes. The filter could then be cleaned and the customer put back on the road with some good advice to assist in preventing further problems! Ford Mondeo P244C Fixed! A well maintained Mondeo in with us this week with another DPF problem. We set about diagnosing the issues using our Ford dealer diagnostic system and quickly discovered and resolved a blocked pipe in the exhaust gas treatment system.
