Just thought I’d send a quick note regarding my visit to The Dyke this week.
I used to be a junior member at The Dyke back in the mid 90’s and now live in Dublin so it has been over 20 years since I have played the course.
... I was so pleased to see the course in such amazing condition. The greens were even better than I remember and it’s great to see the general set up and level of detail at such a high standard. The bunkers/ tee boxes/ paths/ sign posts....even the flags were of a high quality.
I play a lot of golf in Ireland now where the courses and expectation is very high. I would have no hesitation at putting The Dyke Golf Club in the same bracket as some of these well known venues, so it’s a credit to the green keeping staff and the management at getting it right.
The guys in the pro shop were very friendly and I still believe the Dyke along with West Sussex GC are the top 2 courses in Sussex.
I look forward to coming back in the Autumn to play it again with my father.

Another ladies championship is over and we hugely congratulate the winner, Sophie Kennard, with a gross total of 155 over the 2 days.
Kay Grindell fought hard and thoroughly deserved first place in the nett competition with a total of 141.
Nice one girls!

It was a pleasure to attend Aldrington Primary School Summer Fayre last Saturday. Mark, David and Martin witnessed plenty of budding new golfers. In the head to head Mark pipped Martin by 2 points!🐯⛳️🏆

Huge congratulations to the Singing Hills team who won a great victory yesterday at our annual Dyke Challenge Bowl competition.
Heavy rain didn't dampen their spirits. In fact, all captains, club secretaries and professionals are to be admired for pushing through to the end despite high levels of precipitation and occasional emergency squidging of greens by our heroic greenkeepers.

The ladies Div 1 team played their last match of the season in atrocious conditions on Friday, with heavy rain and 40mph winds, nobody, especially the opposition were too keen!
The ladies from Ifield battled valiantly in conditions they’ve not met before, which gave us distinct home advantage. Closing out with a 5½-1½ win, the team has won four of their six matches this year in what was a tough draw. Thank you and well done to everyone in the Dyke Div 1 squad this season: Sophie, Alison, Carol, Deborah, Jill, Maddy, Pat, Fiona, Kay, Sandie, Grainne.
