Lots of people wonder what the difference is between a playgroup and a pre-school? The answer is nothing! They both follow the same EYFS, both run under ofsted regulations and both learn through play. We’ve always been know as East Horley Playgroup and just because our name states we are a playgroup doesn’t mean we are any different from a pre-school. 😊

Nature walk and exploring ☺️

We would like to welcome our new friend Charlie Bear to Playgroup, Charlie bear is excited to be going home with the children each week , we look forward to hearing about all his adventures in his scrap book 🐻

Does anyone have any old mobile phones that they would like to donate to playgroup? The children are really enjoying using the ones we have and having a few more would be great 😊

This is a fantastic playgroup - excellent staff, warm welcome and always lots of interesting things to do. A happy environment for the children develop and grow xx

My son loves this playgroup!

It's the first place that he is always so excited to get through the door, as soon as it opens he's trying to get past whoever opens up so that he can explore the days activities!

He's happy for me to leave him here which makes it feel so much more at relaxed drop off and always happy to see me at pick up and show me anything he's done that day.

My son has multiple very serious reaction allergies and they have been wonderful at keeping him safe.

It's a proper playgroup focusing on learning through play and he's come on leaps and bounds since joining. Being around the slightly older children has obviously done well for him!

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a proper playgroup, all about the children and having fun too!

My son goes to this playgroup and he could not be happier.

After a shaky start at a different playgroup (which had an outstanding ofsted report and is a great playgroup) but my son did not settle there, the staff at East Horley made my son and I feel very welcome. I was very nervous, but my son seem to settle here very quickly. I find the staff kind, approachable, and nothing is too much trouble.

After a few months here, the staff have helped me recognise that my son has ASD, and have step by step guided me through this difficult progress of finding the right help and diagnosis.

When my son first started here, he wouldn't talk to anyone, and if another child came and sat next to him he would move away. One year on, he runs through the door and tells the children who are playing to " wait for me!!"

This only makes my heart sing!

For this, I can't thank the staff enough for all the support you and given me and for making my son happy.

My little boy went to east horley play group and I can't praise it enough! All the staff are really friendly and go the extra mile!! I was apprehensive about sending him to a nursery/play group but It was the best thing I ever done for him! He loved it there and his development can on leaps and bounds!! X

My daughter loves this place and never actually wants to leave she loves it that much. On her days off she even asks to go there. The staff are lovely and so welcoming. My daughter has come out of her shell so much more since being here and I can’t wait to see how much more she will. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. I would give 10 stars if could

My daughter has been coming to this playgroup since she was 2 and she is now 4. The staff were amazing from the outset, totally understanding all the emotions of your child growing up and being without you (comforting both me & my daughter separately!)



I always feel it is a very caring place and the children quite obviously love and appreciate the staff. The children always seem very engaged and happy.



I visited other playgroups and nurseries but feel I definitely made the right choice. Plus with lots of the staff being Mum's themselves I really trust them to care for my daughter. A wonderful place. Thanks for all you do �

We will be so sad in a few weeks when my youngest leaves them to go to 'big school'. I just want to say a massive Thank you to all you lovely ladies for all help , kindness and dedication in looking after Mason. I remember when Mason first started he was shy but still gave a cheeky smile and now he’s such a confident little boy.

He’s always so excited in the mornings to get to playgroup and when I go to pick him up he tells me he’s had such a good day and can’t wait to come back tomorrow these words are music to my ears just to hear that I know he is in the right hands and environment to start to grow and to thrive as a person I couldn’t ask for more then that as a first time parent.

I would whole heartedly recommend your playgroup to any parent as you all are such a significant part of who mason is today and I’m so so proud of him . He has many wonderful memories and made such wonderful friendships and it all because of all of you he will really miss you all.

I can not rate East horley playgroup high enough. Lauryn has only been here a short while but has enjoyed every second. Sadly today was her last day and she will miss everyone so much. Such friendly and professional staff that lauryn felt at ease from the first day. I highly recommend this playgroup

Fantastic playgroup, my daughter has been going since she was 2 and they have been wonderful with her. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and the ladies that work there are brilliant, kind and caring.

Fantastic playgroup! Always something fun and exciting going on for the children. All 3 of my children went here with my youngest leaving in July 2017. We would always receive a warm welcome on arrival in the mornings and my daughter would always have a smile on her face when I collected her with lots of stories to tell about her day. Would highly recommend!

Chloe has had lots of fun at this playgroup. There is always something new to do, and she comes home with new artwork everyday. Happy to recommend this playgroup to others and have signed my son up already! Thanks to Rachel and the whole team.

Can not recommend highly enough! My son is very anxious and struggles socially!! He started settling here 2 weeks ago and my goodness what a difference! The staff are AMAZING! They have been so caring and supportive and I feel this was the best decision We could have made for our boy! All the staff are so welcoming! The children are always so calm and settled! Says it all really!! Well done ladies �

Been meaning to write this for a while. My son has suffered anxiety for a year or so. He began to hate preschool and being left so i booked him in here for 1 morning a week. Instantly his demeanour changed he felt safe & happy with the amazing staff here. Formed amazing bonds with his lovely key worker Lisa and adored Anna , waiting each day to do arts with her. Rachel the manager was caring, funny and clearly had a fantastic relationship with every child in her setting, very much including Josh. He cried terribly after his graduation when it sunk in he wasnt going back there. (Didnt bat at eyelid leaving rhe nursery hed attended for 4 yrs) . My son came home from each session with more stuff he'd created in a term at his private nursery/preschool, but also happy and excited for his next session there to stretch his motor skills and imagination some more!!



He was even happy to go back in Sept thid year before he started reception while i went off to have his baby brother and they were incredibly flexible to fit in w whatever we needed for emergency care for him. Above and beyond. As was their endless patience with my not remembering ANYTHING inwas supposed to do or bring in.



The variation of toys and activities and caring nurturing staff sets this playgroup/preschool apart from the rest. I wish id sent my son there full time drom the start. Will no question be sendìng my little one there.



Dont go changing girls!!

A great friendly caring playgroup, my son loved it and he loved the staff there. Great that they have different activities out each day so not the same every day. Thank you all x
