took my aunt here for afternoon tea today as a surprise for her 90th birthday, was first class the food was lovely, the staff are so friendly and proffessional but most of all my aunt loved her surprise, would recomend afternoon tea ...

Wonderful hotel and spa. We stay whenever we can, try to stay in the main house as the rooms are gorgeous. The food is amazing and the service discrete and of a high standard. The massages are professional and the treatment area calm and nicely organised. The pool and spa is of a high standard. I can't think of a single negative!

Go there!!

User

We stayed there on our wedding night and again on our 10th wedding anniversary. Great hotel, great surroundings, great rooms and great staff.

User

This place is my Heaven on earth! Lovely grounds, gorgeous spa, large grand rooms, and luxurious restaurant. Love it.

User

My friend and I just visited for a spa weekend and can't recommend it enough! The staff were fantastic, the spa was really lovely and the grounds and manor were also very well kept and beautiful to wonder around. Also compliments to the chef as the food was out of this world! Can't wait to come back xx

User

Lovely old Manor House, very classy and quaint.Being slowly renovated, but loads of character, miles of grounds, smart spa, great food and staff. We stayed in stables/mews-satisfactory.

User

Hello everyone . I might be biased but I'm very proud of the place where I work ( Eastwell manor ) and the reasons are very simple , professionally and friendly staff , management The best I have worked with .And even the owner of the hotel (Mr.Parrett) knows the single name of every individual member of staff ( 130 members staff ) This is the main reasons , for me to be proud to represent this company

Thank you Eastwell manor Hotel

User

Eastwell Manor will always hold a special place in my heart. Got married here and it was the most amazing day of my life.

It was ok, but for the money it should be better. The cleanliness was the main issue in the toilet facilities, no loo roll or hand towels, easy basics to get right. When reported an hour later still not restocked! Pool stairs marble also black with dirt. Spa treatments all excellent but the booking system was a joke, it took ages and a very stressful experience. Has lost the personal & welcoming touch

The building is breathtaking. The gardens , the spa and the general service and ambiance is lovely . Unfortunately there is a but ! This hotel was booked via great escapes . The room was a Classic Manor room . We were shown to our room by a lovely young man and on first impressions the room was lovely . Very big and spacious with an upstairs bedroom and bathroom . As our stay progessed it became apparent that the room was in need of some refurbishment and a good clean . Cobwebs everywhere , dust in obvious places , one of the wall lights hanging off the wall and the carpet was a little shabby but we still felt the room was nice and in keeping with such an old building . Our dinner was lovely and again all the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. In the morning we both wanted a shower and that’s when we both felt the standards were unexceptionable. The bAthroom was less than adequate for a 4 star hotel no matter what age the building was . The shower didn’t work at first but once we could turn the shower knob the water ran but the head was so scaled the water went everywhere except on either one of us ! The water wasn’t hot either , Luke warm at best . The tiles were filthy and the grout was brown . There were substantial cracks around the shower head that weren’t authentic but very very unstable and unsafe . Pictures are all included . We felt it necessary to speak to the manager , James , as we assumed they hotel were unaware of the state of the room and also that there would be some apology and refund of some sort . This wasn’t the case . The Room / package was £225 , we booked two treatments worth £140 and spent around £60 on drinks during our stay so a total of ££425 , that to me is a fair amount of money . Well the manager , james stated having looked at our room that the state of it was “acceptable” and as a goodwill gesture gave us £25 back , £25 ! We did stand our ground and say we truly didn’t believe he felt that this was a good standard for a champneys hotel to offer but again he said he felt it was . To say we left disappointed is an understatement. A multi million pound company like Champneys is only so because of hardworking people like us that will pay £425 for a night away , word of mouth is a powerful thing and we both felt compelled to take this further . This won’t be the only review we post and we will be taking this further .

Really really disappointed shame on your James and Champneys for delivering such a disappointing night away .
