In our German workshop yesterday, we celebrated the end of the Munich Oktoberfest in style 😀 with Kartoffelsalat, Würstchen and a Radler. Lecker! 😊

There is a Turkish shop on the East Grinstead highstreet where I got some lovely pickled garlic = eingelegter Knoblauch. Schmeckt lecker! =Tastes nice! ...and, as the friendly Turkish shop owner lived in Germany for 10 years, you can practise your Deutsch with him. Have a look around.

Did you know, recycling is extremely important in Germany and you pay a deposit (Pfand) for plastic bottles. On this one, I paid 25Cent Einwegpfand, can return the empty bottle to the shop and get the deposit back. Plastic = Kunststoff; raw material = der Rohstoff, plural: die Rohstoffe. How do you save/avoid plastic waste?

Did you know, in Germany, when invited to someone's home, always arrive on time and bring a small gift, e.g., eine Schachtel Pralinen = a box of chocolates, a bottle of wine = eine Flasche Wein or a small bunch of flowers = ein kleiner ________. What was the word you learnt yesterday? Let me know 😉
