Watch despicable 3 today at 11.45.Had a pushchair and 2 other children the film was playing in screen 9 top floor and there's no lift access up to there. One of the staff kasif? Came running over to help me carry up the pushchair and couldn't do enough to help me. Thank you

Me and my son had a lovely time, on out 1st visit to this cinema. The staff were superb from the lad on the ticket desk, who but my boys scooter in their cupboard, to a lady upstairs who played with my son with an advertising board that spun round, while I brought drinks and sweets. Would definatly go back again AAA+++

User

Excellent sound n screen. Amazing experience

Excellent

Even though this cinema is a bit run down, we love it there. Tickets are good price and seats are comfortable with lots of leg room. We were 1 of 2 families to see guardian of the galaxy on Sunday

Would of been better if they would ask people for id's especially teens as went to see a horror movie and saw teenagers watching the movie and being loud and would not let others watch in peace. Me and my partner went twice to horror movies and not a single time was asked for an id and when asked the ticket person why he is not asking for an id for a horror movie he didn't know what to say.

Might be a good idea for the empire cinema to tell their employees to ask for an id when people go to a horror movie if they think the people are underage.

User

Friendly staff who helped with directing where I needed to go and provided the snacks I wanted. Huge cinema with comfy seats. Only loses a star as the bathrooms need a revamp.

User

While the price of the movie and quality of movie were good the cinema needs to be updated I have been going to empire for what seems like forever and not once have I seen a renovation the whole cinema could do with a fresh coat of paint carpets and decor and take a leaf out of odens book there food area is nice open and bright empires is dark and depressing

User

Went with my wife to watch the new pirates film and before we went in we decided to get a drink etc they had minion 3 drinks cups with a little character on top which my wife and i thought we would choose as our little daughter loves them and just for 2 drinks and small popcorn.... it cost £13 !!! Im normally not one to complain but jeez no wonder the room only had about 8 people in including us the price just to go see a movie and get a small snack these days is ridiculous.

User

Went to watch Despicable Me 3 with my son yesterday, when our tickets were checked we were told if we found the screen too hot to come back and tell him ..... it was like a sauna! !! The cinema doesn't have Air Conditioning! !!!!! I'd tried propping the door open and we sat at the back. Someone came along with some scrunched up cardboard and wedged the door open.

We didn't enjoy the experience, despite having drinks we came out gasping for a cold drink and extremely hot and sweaty!!

User

They did not have any large containers so we're only selling regular popcorn.

Paid more for popcorn then the movie tickets.

User

There was rabbis in cup holder.

User

The cinema is clean but the carpets and whole place need upgrading!

User

Loved the film, staff very helpful as the escalator was not working so offered us the lift. However a cash injection wouldn't go a miss to revamp, update.

User

I’ve been going to Slough Cinema since the late 1980’s and despite being cheap it’s not a cheerful experience. The cinema has a good variety of screens but urgently needs refurbishment. Offers a halal food options but again needs revamp to bring it to the 21st century.

User

It's starting to look a bit shabby and the impact screen had a small tear in it but the value for money is great compared to other cinemas.

User

I took my Grandson to watch Captain Underpants on a Tuesday witch is cheap day so the entry price was good but thats all that was cheap for a tub of popcorn its £4.99 so we couldn't get much else then when we went to our seats considering our film was a U rating there was no booster seats at all i had go find one in next theatre the one of the other Mums asked a assistant for more they were told there was no more they have 40 all together and there all being used in other screens so our film is a U and parents have to pay for a seat that there child can't see the screen from so they have sit on there parents laps very wrong

User

Could do with a lot of TLC carpet worse for wear and cinema we were in was very cold and effected by the noise of film adjoining theatre

User

film was good, seats comfortable but that's as good as it gets, toilets could have been cleaner hand driers not working and could have done with better signage re validating car park tickets.

UPDATE to following review.....

I was rather surprised and somewhat disappointed to hear that the ‘new’ manager who I had much faith in at the time of my review below, is no longer with Empire and that one of his deputies had also gone too. I’m not sure if any of my previous emails (sent multiple times to Slough and Empire HQ) and never replied to by either site, had anything to do with it.... lol! Although there is still at least one member of management that needs to go for thinking she knows more than she does and failed to convince me otherwise....

OK. It’s only 2 stars this time as Screen 9 was freezing and so was Screen 5, but that’s considerably better than the 1 star I usually give this establishment on TripAdvisor for so many other faults.

Spoke to the new manager Steve, who hopefully will be there longer than most of the managers in recent history. He has plans, plans which should see a fair few very positive changes in the coming months. And I have to say I have more confidence in him already (probably because I found little else to whinge about on this visit for a change), which suggests some things are already changing positively.

However, he has a tough battle ahead and I really don’t envy him, but I do wish him the best of luck. The building itself is the biggest challenge. Hopefully staff will be more visible on all the 3 floors too in the future. For the first time in a long time, I might actually start to look forward to going to this cinema again rather than wishing I had gone to Staines..... Only time will tell.

User

Took my daughters for their first cinema experience really wish i had gone to an odeon! all the seats were broken on some level resulting in a very uncomfortable time for both my daughters as the booster seats did not sit snuggly on the seats, and when they would adjust their position they ended up toppling forward the whole cinema is disgusting and in desperate need of an upgrade and decent clean. Will definitely be avoiding this establishment on future trips.

User

This is one of the cheaper cinemas that I've been to and as the old saying goes "you get what you pay for" is very true here. Staff were friendly but the cinema feels dated and in need of a good clean.

User

Its a old poorly maintained cinema. The decor is of 70s. Poor lighting and dirty conditions. The screen sizes are small too. Overall its a disappointment...it looks like a third world neglected cinema...does not look like its in modern day uk....is the UK going backwards as the cinemas in some other developing countries are far better than the UK cinemas...

User

It needs so much attention! Toilets had no toilet paper in them I approached the member of staff and told them about it and they said OK they get it sorted but they didn't... then we found that we were in the 'luxury' screen which is (screen 10) we went use the toilets up there and there was no toilet paper in there either. We went to see Despicable Me 3 and it was EXTREMELY Loud for a child's movie unlike other screens we've been in in that cinema in the past? It was really piercing my ears!! At one point we were just going to walk out.

User

I was in the screen no. 3, was so dirty. Full of rabish. It small bad in there. Hope menagmend will do somethink with this

User

What a shit hole of a Cinema!! Very dirty throughout... The staff have NO Customer Services skills, and are very rude!!! The hole place stinks, I mean really smells... It 100% needs to be closed down and refurbished!!! The toilets are just disgusting!!! I think they clean them ones a week if that!!! Uxbridge Cinema all the way for me and my family I think!

User

Tuesday is the day to go for cheap ticket prices however the cinema needs a serious makeover, in the 10 or so years that ive been going to this cinema (purely out of convenience) it has not once changed! I took my daughter on tuesday (cheap tickets were the highlight of our trip) after buying the overlypriced snacks and drinks we made our way to screen 1, this screen is disgusting, strong smell of urine, at one point i got up to smell our seats to make sure we weren't sat in dried up p*** and trying to find 2 seats together where the drinks holder wasnt missing was a task in itself! After moving 3 times we settled in to watch the film! although its great that they will validate your parking ticket, they fail to tell you that you still have to put it in at the pay station before leaving the carpark so make sure you do this otherwise, like me, you will get stuck at the barrier, have to abandon your car to put your ticket in the machine to be able to get out!

User

Took my daughter and 2 friends to watch Paddington 2 a couple of weeks ago to find the cinema had not been cleaned from the previous movie, when I contacted them received an email back saying they didn’t have enough time to clean, was an aweful experience for my daughter and her friends along with myself as I had to remove other people’s rubbish from the seats to clean up for the kids to sit along with a dirty surrounding. When I queried it I’m still waiting for a reply.

User

The staff there are unhelpful and thieves. I accidentally left my coat on my seat when I was leaving just as the cleaners were coming in, realised I left my coat inside when I was just outside, came back to pick it up and it was gone.

Keep in mind we were sat at the front of the cinema and everyone else around us left ages before we did so no other customers could have has access to it, just the people who cleaned up.

We asked multiple members of staff but no one claimed they even saw it nor did anyone offer to help us search the dark screen.

Dirty cinema, unhelpful staff and awful screen quality. Don't bother coming here.

User

So I went to watch Teefa in trouble last night not even half way through video disappeared and only sound you could hear, I went outside to look for staff but no one available then after 10 min looking around I managed to find someone on ground floor and my screen was on the highest floor whichever it was, they sorted it out after 20-25 mins which ruined the whole film, staff was very unhelpful as during the incident aircon stopped too and I asked one of the staff and the guy was like I don’t know it just comes and goes (what a professional answer) so rest of the film we watched sitting in humid hot environment after the film, I was looking for a manager to complain about what happened with the screen and about aircon and again I couldn’t find anyone. Never experienced anything like that anywhere else. Avoid this cinema people.

User

Place opened late, no reason given. Film wasn’t held up either to counter this. Only one person on the tills. Would give o stars but it’s not an option. Uxbridge Staines or Maidenhead for me from now on

User

Place needs a serious refurb... the toilets on the top floor where so filthy I nearly threw up!! On a positive staff were nice.

User

No Air condition at all will never ever going to book in summer time for a single Show & staff on ticket counter was too rude !!

User

My God what anightmare screen 8

No air con and lights were on during the whole film

So humid and muggy worst experience

User

It was the worst I have ever been even in Africa they have better then that place so dirty, smelly, toilets are so dirty and no water just one tap I couldn't believe I was in uk..not again never please Don't take your kids or anyone there so so bad....

User

Hate it boiling all the tym

Going to stop coming here now

Shit management and shit staff and shit cinema

User

Filthy, hot and smelt so bad! Last time I will ever visit after having to complain the time before too! Terrible trip to the cinema

User

Crap no air con.. boiling in the screens

User

Air conconditioning broken. Film ruined. End up having to plead for a cup of ice so we could stay cool. Like sitting in a sauna for 2 hours.
