Christmas Eve Christmas Cracker marathon race instructions
Another road trip for us as we are at Furzton on Monday.
Numbers will be available in the pub from 8.30am for a 9am start, you might want to factor in additional travel time with blokes heading out to the shops early to start their shopping 😉
... Please ensure your numbers are visible so we can count your laps & with 17 laps to count if you can help make our lives easier we would appreciate it.
If you ran with us in the week please bring your numbers with you & those that did wont need to register with us.
Toilets are located in the pub & you are welcome to leave personal drinks etc on the aid station table at your own risk of someone else consuming it !! You can also leave bags in gazebo too (hand luggage only, or we'll charge you Ryanair style 😉 )
Water in 500ml bottles will be provided along with a few snacks - crisps, jaffa cakes, nuts, biscuits etc ....
Please do not litter there are bins on the course please use them, we are guests of Milton Keynes parks trust & as it's an open park be mindful & respectful of other park users out dog walking, cycling, fishing etc ....
The course is hard compacted gravel & tarmac so road shoes would be recommended, save your red stilettos for later in the day.
The pub has a large free car park.
Any other questions should hopefully be answered on the website page which is shown below for your convenience.

Deja vu 5km race brief :)
We look forward to welcoming folks to Furzton Lake on Sunday, numbers will be available from the pub from 10.30am, at 10.55 we will walk down to the start for final instructions & get you out of the blocks at 11am.
The course is a fraction over 2 laps of the 1.5 mile lake.
... As this is a Deja vu event you can select your chosen medal at the end, obviously the sooner you finish the more selection you will have.
For those who don't know where the pub is the address is here :

Perfect conditions today saw Mark Prigg bring home the bacon (Vegan options are available) followed by 4 lovely ladies Susannah, Abi, Karen & Lindsay. Was great to celebrate Cat Marriotts 200th marathon with her too today, I sampled the lovely mince pies to ensure they met my quality control standards for my runners 😜 #girlpower special thanks to Super Sarah & Awesome Andy #teamenigma 😊

I have just returned from course measuring & marking at Willen lake, The bridge is still out (& Sandra Bullock aint driving !!) so we are still diverted, A full lap measures 2.93 miles (racing line) so the course for Tuesday & Wednesday will be just under 9 laps.

Wonderfully supportive group, beautiful setting (even in the torrential rain). Many thanks for waiting for me to finish even though I was so much slower than everyone else!!

User

Well that was a good run out thank you sorry was was a bit shocked when said the time as my last PB 28 so when you said 25 I was like wow no way !!!!

User

We travelled from Thorrington this morning for the "Shaken not stirred" half. Despite being a bit rushed due to the traffic just outside MK we made the start line with approx 2mins to spare! Was a great route - I loved the wildlife and ducks (especially the signets and the little chicks) and was pleased to see only a few puddles on our way round. Very friendly and well organised. And to top it off an amazing medal. We will definitely be returning soon! Deb & Paul x

Well organised event and the team at Enigma are absolutely amazing

User

I have just a terrific weekend at the Enigma Summer marathon. The venue is lovely, easy to get to and there is accommodation on site.

The event organisation was great and Fox and his crew were incredibly supportive and helpful. There was even massage on site. All this, whilst maintaining a low key, friendly, stress free atmosphere. To top it off all the runners gave each other cheerful vocal support throughout the whole race. You really couldn't ask for better.

I can't recommend Enigma Running more highly. Thanks Fox and co
