Wow! Had a meal there last night and it was brilliant, a huge amount of meat which was cooked to perfection and wonderfully attentive and friendly staff, I'll be back!

Went yesterday evening! Thoroughly enjoyed everything from the service to the food, will most definitely be making some trips here again in the future. I highly recommend it and if you can't manage the generous portions then the y send you home with what you can't eat, needless to say I had enough for my tea tonight 👍😊

Went on a Friday night, there were four mates out for a meet up. It was a great transformation from the old Black dog, we had a nice round table by the window, the food was very tasty and reasonably priced, the dancer was very entertaining. Definitely recommend it.

Went on Friday eve for dinner with some friends and I wasn't disappointed, on walking in the ambiance and vibe was good, the staff were very professional looking.

Ordered our food, it came and it looked amazing a feist for the eyes and then tasting

The food was absolutely cooked to perfection

The meat is soft and juicy the salad with the dressing and the nan bread was delicious!!

I had chicken princess and my friends had other meat dishes must say we all just really enjoyed fabulous food top marks guys!!!

After the meal went for cocktails in the bar

3 for 2 so we had to give it ago and wasn't disappointed again, good flavouring and you defo taste the alcohol!!

Papas the bar man and all the other staff do a brilliant job, well done and wish you all the success on the opening of the new restaurant.

Will defo be going again soon!!!

Went here last night had a fantastic meal...great atmosphere. ..staff are very good...i was celebrating my birthday we had table of 18 service was 1st class ...live music as well just a fantastic evening. ..

Went Saturday night with friends, great ambience, very friendly staff. The food was delicious and we there was live music

Only small issue , the coffee could have been hotter. Definitely go back again

We use both of the restaurants, here and Tilgate. The food is great in both restaurants.

We had a great night celebrating a friend's birthday and the DJ played all 80s tracks which got everyone up dancing.



Great selection of wines and spirits and the staff were very attentive.

We came for a family meal this evening, and was very impressed the staff were all really lovely, and were very helpful without being in your face and didn't wait till you had put food in your mouth and then ask if everything is ok! � I hate that!! The food was so lovely and fresh and most of all very tasty we shall definitely be back! ��

This was my first visit to the Northgate Restaurant and it certainly won’t be my last !! It was first class. First impression was great, the staff were very attentive & very welcoming. We were a party of 12 and our food all arrived at the same time & hot which was very impressive as they were very busy. The food was just amazing & I couldn’t fault a thing. Total value for money and I would give more than 5 stars if I could !! Can’t wait to go back. Would 100% recommend !!

It's been a long time since I enjoyed a meal as much. But my favourite was the mock cocktails for non drinkers!! The Belly Dancer was very entertaining. So, great food, drinks, staff, Barman and entertainment. Great value too!

I was there last night we some friends, it was my second visit and won’t be my last, food great, staff friendly, live music last night which really helped to make the evening that bit special, already got plans to go back soon �

I had my 50th birthday party on Saturday 14th April here. My initial enquiry was dealt with professionally and the follow up communication was very good. Our initial impressions of the restaurant were that it looked very clean and modern and that the staff were friendly and professional. The night of my party was the 80s theme night and our party of over 50 were served promptly with some lovely food and the entertainment was fantastic. I would recommend Ephesus to anyone and will certainly be returning.

Group of friends and I had the most amazing evening here tonight, brilliant food and very friendly staff - would thoroughly recommend coming to this restaurant- very reasonable too !!! I'm definitely coming back �

Food is exceptional, staff are on point & friendly, owner is hands on and I highly recommend this Turkish restaurant.

First visit with friends who are blind. Made very welcome as soon as we arrived and coupled with excellent food and service we will definitely return and have already passed on our recommendations to family and friends.

Fantastic staff very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere, reasonable prices. Would recommend anyone to visit this pub definitely isn't just for adults kids are welcome to come along to.

Excellent service and amazing food,very reasonably priced.NOT A RIP OFF..Had lamb ribs,was cooked to perfection and delicious with rice,chips and salad included in meal,alot to ask really..Highly recommended will be back soon defo..best in town i reckon...

We have been to the Tilgate restaurant before but the Northgate restaurant is a real step up.



We booked a party of 11 for my sixtieth party dinner.



I have no complaints about the food or the service while we were there.



However, when we booked we advised them that we had a wheelchair guest and required a well lit area and disabled facilities. We also paid a deposit of £30.



The day before I even went in and gave them a list of all guests starter and main choices.



We arrived, wheelchair in tow, to find we had been allocated a table on a raised platform with 2 steps, and then had to wait while they hastily organised another table. They then placed menus on the table, too which I explained I had already given a list of starters and mains. They had apparently lost it!



Fortunately I had photographed the list.



But I still had to direct the waiters to which order was for whom.



When we got the bill they had not deducted the £30 deposit we gave them, had I not queried it I wonder if I would have got it back.



It would have been nice to have had a formal apology from the duty manager for the aggravation and possibly a gesture of goodwill.

They also should review how they handle booking information.



Remember, a great restaurant is not always just about the food.

Lovely food, great staff. We would definitely recommend it to friends, for large or small groups - we will be back. Cocktails are lovely :)

My only complaint was the prosecco is warm

You need to chill the prosecco

Recommended this place so booked for a Saturday evening and they had clearly over booked as had to wait while other people were being seated. We politely kept reminded them we were waiting to be seated. When we did get seated the staff were super friendly and very good, it was very busy and again had to wait some time for food to arrive. We noticed every table got bread and dips.(we were forgotten). The food was good and we will go back to try again hoping it’s not so busy. Thank you for eventually having a great night

OK the food was actually excellent for what it was, no complaints there..... The issues are elsewhere. There were eight of us on a Saturday night and the service was very slow even at early doors. Then the entertainment turned up. He was very average and worked hard (too hard) to get restaurant playing along with his antics. When it didn't work he got louder and louder. But 21:30 people were leaving in droves as you physically could not not talk to the person next to you. Most of our party got sick of it and left before 10. Myself and one other stayed behind for another drink and tried to find the quietest area to have a chat....fat chance, no where was free from the overbearing "entertainment". In summary ditch this guy and sort your service issues and you have a potential for a 4*

Came here this evening with 14 friends. They could not cope with the numbers. Dips came out but had to ask for the bread at least 4 times. A very loud singer was in the restaurant singing hits from the seventies at a level you could not hear the person next to you talking. We asked then to turn it down several times and it did drop fractionally but still too loud. One meal sent back twice. Red hit bowl but cold food so clearly microwaved. Salad not coming out with the mains so you had eaten half your meal before it came out. To be fair the freshly BBQ' d food was very tasty. To top off the night, we were harassed (as were other tables) by a very drunk guy on his own. He should have been asked to leave. Bill was cheap but would rather have paid more for a better experience. Won't be going back.
