To celebrate the expansion of our BadgerNet digital maternity notes to our labour and postnatal departments, we have given out a very special present - a BadgerNet badger to our latest newborns! Environmentally friendly re-usable coffee cups will also be given to our staff.

As winter approaches, it's important to remember to look after yourself as cold weather can be seriously bad for your health. If you start to feel unwell, even if it's a cough or a cold, don't wait until it gets more serious - seek advice from your local pharmacist or GP.

Do you like our new Trust name badges (modelled by the Comms Team)? Our new badges are bright and help staff to be identified more easily by patients, especially those with visual impairments, dementia, learning difficulties and Dyslexia. #WorldSightDay

Magic is in the air, as our young patients were visited by not one but two magicians this play in hospital week. @FunBalloonMagic and @gordonsmagic entertained our young patients with some amazing tricks and brilliant balloon animals. Thanks for visiting. #npihw #playmatters

Just because some things may not be visible, it does not mean that they do not exist - emotional wellbeing is just as important as physical health. You can access mental health services through the NHS, visit: https://www.nhs.uk/…/m…/how-to-access -mental-health-services for more information #MentalHealthDay2018

It's okay to not be okay and it's okay to talk about it! We would like to encourage everyone to be open about #mentalhealth by listening to others and talking about it - it can really help to make a difference.#WorldMentalHealthDay

Please join us on the green opposite St Helier Hospital at 6.30pm on Sunday 14 October for a minute’s silence and special commemorative event to remember any child or baby who has sadly passed away. As the sun sets for the evening, the front of St Helier will be transformed into a sea of lights, giving local families and individuals the opportunity to come and remember any child or baby who has died. There will be a minute’s silence at 7pm. #BLAW2018 #WaveofLight https://www.epsom-sthelier.nhs.uk/…/st- helier-set-to-light-…

Play in Hospital week has officially kicked off with Mad Academy Sutton visiting our young patients and nursery. The children enjoyed dancing and singing like superheroes (in tune with this year's theme 'Everyday superheroes'). Thank you MAD Academy #npihw #playmatters

User

A big thanks to Fairy Fable Parties for visiting our young patients at #EpsomHospital, provided by @Momentum. They loved meeting and interacting with #SleepingBeauty who helped bring some fun to their hospital stay.

User

Thank you to the amazing staff in the children's A&E at St Helier tonight, you provided an excellent service even under the strain of all the time wasters that were packed in the waiting room. I cannot express how important it is that our community only use these services for accidents and emergencies. We are so lucky to have this facility please let's use it correctly.

User

Thank you so much for the wonderful care you have given my mum over the last 5 days.It was like coming into a caring family unit. The nurses were fantastic. They were so caring and helpful. They made mum's stay a lot more comfortable.

Thank you so much :-)

User

Once again very grateful to the excellent staff on the Haematology Day Unit at Epsom Hospital. They are always welcoming, professional and caring, they work flat out all day but never complain. They deserve a public bouquet.

User

I had my operation yesterday on the day case ward at Epsom. Staff were amazing from start to finish. Nurses lovely as always and doctors were brilliant. A high level of care considering the work load and stress they are under at the moment. Can't thank them enough. Keep up the good work. We are so lucky to have an Nhs with staff and care like I had yesterday.

User

Appointment in X Ray this morning, fantastic service, no wait at all , great service from both reception and radiographer, thank you

User

I owe this hospital so much, but it seems to be on its knees. The pharmacy is bonkers - no information, highly stressed staff and and 3 ½ hour wait to collect a prescription?! Seriously, if you want people to back you, you need to improve your signposting and advice.

User

So currently been sat in Epsom A&E for 7 hours and still one before me.

Chief exec came out once which was nice but basically said come back tomorrow and we will book an appointment.

When I agreed but was informed there's no appointments for tomorrow.

The last minors patient came out 40 minutes ago and the next is yet to be called in.

I asked if I was able to remove my lips myself which I was informed by a nurse that it needed to be completed by a qualified person, to then see them allow a HM prisoner detainee leave with a cannula still in his arm which was found by the two guards that accompanied him.

I'm seriously questioning whether I trust them to carry out my alleged minor procedure.

So my question is where is the failure??

User

I've got an Endocrinology referral that's 7 weeks old, have had it resubmitted and apparently passed to General Medicine - the contact phone number for Endocrinology [on the website] sends you to the At Home service, the general number sends you to Geriatric Care who diverted me to an automated logon. I'm sure the surgeons and consultants are better than this but IT services & information are very easy to get right. It's not brain surgery!

User

Absolute joke been sitting in ae for 10 hours with my mother inlaw who is 88 and not one medical staff have been in to see if she is ok and we’re still waiting what a joke nhs gone to pot !!!!!!!😡😡😡😡😡
