Highly recommended read/watch - DVD even shows polo ponies in it! If you want to better yourself as a horseman and polo player this is the one to read. This is a fantastic summary of what we have learned over many years. If you want to understand how your horse thinks, put the book/DVD combo on your Christmas list!

Not enough of this style of training exists in the UK - which is why we probably don't have any 10-Goal polo players in England.

This is how we see it with the horse: give the horse a 'job' before they go to a polo field. By giving them a job you give them a education and then when they go to polo all they need is schooling in the ways of polo. By doing this you get a 'thinking' horse rather than a reactive one. Horsemanship is all about a partnership, so put the relationship first.
