Our large party of 19 people for my daughters 16th was accommodated extremely well, our table was prepped before we arrived making our wait for food minimal. Beefeater breakfasts are a family favourite and they didn't disappoint. The bacon was perfect, with minimal fat of which was crispy. Only downside is they ran out of pancakes and the eggs all had a hard yolk. But still 5 stars.

On the website it doesn't give you anywhere to leave feedback and contact form isn't working, my family and I visited 6th June it was very busy in the restaurant but we were kept up to date , the food was lovely and our waitress Molly P was so lovely, friendly, informative she's a real credit to your restaurant and if you praise and reward your team she highly deserves it.

Lulu our waitress turned an awful day at a funeral to a wonderful dining experience! Food was great; the seabass cooked to perfection, and breakfast the following morning had the best poached egg I had ever had! Wonderful place. Wished I lived nearer so I could go again! x

I took my Fiancé and both of our mums for a Mother’s Day meal. The food was amazing and the waitress was very diligent and conscientious. Superb meal.

Good food and good service.

value for money and nice and friendly staff, we go there mainly all the time unless its to the Harvester instead on the odd time, but otherwise good here, go for it!

User

Best steaks in the town :D Is a steakhouse mainly, so I don't understand people complaining about marginal things. Go, take a nice steak and enjoy, you will never be disappointed ;)

User

Lovely triple cooked chips were the best. Steaks were all eaten up and not a trace left. Loved the puddings. Our waitress was lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Free Pepsi refill and free portions of extra chips for anyone who had enough room for them. We all had a great night celebrating Ben's 9th. birthday.

User

Enjoyed 2 meals here in 2 weeks. One was going to the euro tunnel and again on our return. Food good, lots of choice and the staff were very polite and friendly. Definitely recommend.

User

Service is terribly slow.. waitress not helpful and rude.. waited ten mins to just get a table.. then waiting another 20 mins to get service.

User

Service good, food good would like to see cabbage or kale on the menu instead of the same old broccoli or green beans.

Toilet do not smell very nice and they were a bit messy

I normally love coming to beefeater but last night so disappointed! Starter was lovely but my main meal was gross! Had about 5 chips on my plate, the chicken tasted disgusting, it was supposed to habe bacon on it but no idea what was actually on it just some black greasy stuff! Really wasnt happy :(

19 September 17..

When we sat down the service was really efficient, friendly no complaints. We then was told a large amount of food wasn't available. My son had the Gammon steak, French fries. Food was lovely, other than the dirty plate. Husband had the mixed grill with no problems. I ordered the rib-eye with chunky chips. Once it arrived, thought the steak had a bitter after taste, I put this down to me having a bad cold. My hubby then tried it, agreed there was a nasty taste. I told the waitress, who in turn offered a new meal or something else. Stuck with the steak. She asked the chef how long, told her it will be 3 minutes. Then she had to ask again, where his response was not that friendly towards her, rudely replied that it will be another 3 minutes even though I had waited 10. He made some other comments regarding my returned meal and that the customer can wait until the new meal was ready. I ended up waiting 15 minutes. Even thought the first meal was nasty, the chef was rude, the waitress got a tip from us, as it wasn't her fault.

Worst meal ever! Visited on Sunday 10th September. Ordered one of their so-called gourmet burgers costing £13 for what turned out to be a pretty standard burger and chips. Didn't start well when they didn't have any sweet potato fries or triple cooked chips which they make a big thing of on the menu. Then when it came out it was a very small portion, burger was in a standard bun as they had ran out of brioche buns and also coleslaw had ran out, it was also missing its gherkin! Also ordered a side of burnt ends, I think they over burnt them, it looked more like a bowl of Christmas pudding. Ordered a side of onion rings costing £3.95, got a small bowl containing 6 rings! Lindsey ordered a vegi burger which was meant to come with guacamole but that wasn't delivered. Then the dessert the kids wanted had ran out. The only good thing was the waitress, felt really sorry for her as none of it was her fault, saw at least two other tables complain. Thankfully we had a 40% off voucher so at least we didn't pay full price for this very poor meal. Won't be going back again.

Went for my grandson 7th birthday there was 6 off us we waited over a hour for our food. People sitting around us that arrived after got and ate there dinners before we got ours. My grandson asked for gravy (when we finally got our food) it never came one of the party asked for more chips as only got about 6 on his plate never came. Food was bland. The waitress was running around like a blue ass fly when we spoke to the manager she wasn’t interested

User

Not one to complain as usually I will eat the most inedible dinners but this dinner came out cold, the beef I couldn't even cut through and the roast potatoes were so dried up there was actually no potato inside. Complained to the waitress who brought over the manageress who took it off our bill and offered a free pudding or another dinner. The apple crumble was nice just lacked a decent amount of custard. For our 1st visit, it will be our last. The plough beefeater Dover is our regular and I have to say it's outstanding there

User

Food was awful . Kids had carrot sticks added to their plate that were rotting . Food was just typical boil in a bag rubbish . Fillet steak was low grade rubbish

Best steaks in the town :D Is a steakhouse mainly, so I don't understand people complaining about marginal things. Go, take a nice steak and enjoy, you will never be disappointed ;)

Lovely triple cooked chips were the best. Steaks were all eaten up and not a trace left. Loved the puddings. Our waitress was lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Free Pepsi refill and free portions of extra chips for anyone who had enough room for them. We all had a great night celebrating Ben's 9th. birthday.

Enjoyed 2 meals here in 2 weeks. One was going to the euro tunnel and again on our return. Food good, lots of choice and the staff were very polite and friendly. Definitely recommend.
